Accompanying this plea is a photograph documenting the end-product of the torturous & patently sadistic closure of an innocent life at the hands of master chefs situated in Guangzhou Province, China; the repugnant photograph, which I understand is one of many, is borrowed from this website:
http://www.chinasmack.com/2010/pictures/boiled-alive-cat-prepared-served-in-guangzhou-restaurants.html Although the photo is dated October, 2010--actually, fairly recent--this is an ongoing practice victimizing cats, dogs and I'd say it's a fair hypothesis to include any other fauna on four legs; which is not to exclude the winged variety---the swimming variety, e.g., the fatal removal of Shark's fins---the protective carapaces of turtles---and anything else that crawls and is arguably capable of some form of, if not extreme suffering.
Did you know that the area of the human brain responsible for emotion is identical in the brains of CATS? Please consider the implications of the BOILING ALIVE of ANY CREATURE--but the SUPERNATURAL DEGREE OF HEARTLESSNESS--THE COMPLETE ABSENCE OF COMPASSION, in destroying a creature that CAN EXPERIENCE *EMOTION* IN THE SAME FASHION AS A HUMAN BEING.
