I am cross posting this hopefully so more people will help!!!

Will,someone plz tell me how to go about getting something done about this? What are my right's and what all can i do? I have attached some pics..The first one was when she(Sally) was alive,the second one is after he shot her may 21,2008 and the last one is suppose to be his bite mark,he shot her in front of my 13 yr old daughter and another eye witness that said he should have never done it,that she just grabbed the back of his pant's leg and didn't even break the skin on him,and on top of all this she has 7 week old puppie's,i sat and thought about it for a long time and all i can come up with as to why she would even go after him is because he was in plain clothes and had a 40 cal. pistol,she didn't go after the other one he was in uniform,at our shop we have people to bring thing's in all the time that they have stolen and we have alway's worked with the cop's on this stuff to help people get their belonging's back,that was the reason they were there was to see if a guy they had arrested was telling them the truth about a motorcycle he bought knowing it was stolen and had brought it to our shop to be fixed,because the motor was tore up in it,my husband wasn't there at that moment and they started walking to my house which is a lil way's from the shop,in my mined only thing i can figure is she thought he was going to hurt her family,he was in a unmarked car and plain clothes walking to my door,she has never bitten anyone before and i'm upset.

ENCLOSED IS A COPY OF A PETITION THAT HAS BEEN SIGNED BY 1000 PEOPLE IN THE CASE OF OFFICER DAMIEN ALLEN SHOOTING A FAMILY DOG IN FRONT OF A CHILD FOR NO REASON. IT IS THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES CONCERNED THAT THERE IS SOME KIND OF JUSTICE TAKEN AGAINST OFFICER ALLEN FOR DOING THIS ACT OF VIOLENCE AS BEING AN OFFICER OF THE COURT. The officer had other means of dealing with the animal. Shooting the dog was not only cruel and inhumane; it indicates something is clearly wrong with this officer's sense of compassion and his ability to lawfully carry out his duties. I urge you to force him into psychological counseling, to fire him, and to make certain that he is never in a position again to carry a weapon legally as a member of any law enforcement unit anywhere. As a pet owner and animal lover, I cannot imagine the pain this incident has caused this family. Surely there are other ways that two police officers can control a dog, especially since this doesn't appear to be a vicious or even harmful attack. An officer with a "shoot first and ask questions later mentality" is likely to be equally quick to aim at a human being. While there is obviously no compensation that can bring back the family's beloved pet, strong punitive action should be taken against the officer, not to mention a thorough evaluation of his psychological state.

Sue the crap out of this nut. Discharging a weapon under anything other than a "life threatening" concern is illegal in all 50 states. If you sue and win, the department will have to implement a hearing and probably change policy so that next time somebody Else's dog won't have to die. This was no stray dog. He is not above the law. You should be compensated for you loss and he should be reprimanded for shooting a dog. This isn't the wild west. This is America, and you have rights and freedoms no where else is comparable. There must be some attorney willing to take this on a pro bono basis (no fee unless you collect). Keep looking until you find one locally. Check with law schools in your area. They can often send you along the right path. Good Luck.
