Protect funds for clean Hydrogen energy!

Protect funds for clean Hydrogen energy!

Target:
President Obama
Sponsored by:
We are all affected by the energy crisis. Gas prices are soaring. Pollution is getting out of control. We all know about Global Warming. The entire world has ben feeling its effects for some time now. You would think that, in this current state of affairs, that the Obama Administration would support alternate energy. Instead, it  proposes to cut the hydrogen fuel cell funds by over $130 million. This is over two-thirds of the entire budget. Funds for the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle could be cut entrely.
Hydrogen fuel cells are possibly the cleanest and most efficient option for alternate energy. They combine hydrogen and oxygen into water, and create electricity in the process. Unlike a battery, as long as there are hydrogen and oxygen flowing into a fuel cell, it will not go dead. There is no pollution because the only by- product of this reaction is water vapor.
A Polymer Exchange Hydrogen Fuel Cell engine has 80 percent efficiency in generating electricity and 80 percent efficiency in converting the electricity into mechanical energy. Overall, the efficiency of these engines is currently about 64 percent. Compare this to the 20 percent efficiency of a typical gasoline car. Add in the horrendous amount of pollution and a hydrogen fuel cell is an obviously better choice. However, the Obama administration seems more interested in destroying the environment to drill for oil that will further the destruction through oil spills and exhaust than in putting forth effort to make widespread distributin of hydrogen fuel cells a reality.
Urge the Obama administration to protect funds for alternate energy!

We the undersigned are voicing our concern about the energy and pollution crisis facing our planet. Hydrogen fuel cell engines for our vehicles seem to be a very real solution. They are virtually pollution- free and are nearly 40 percent more efficient than a gasoline engine. However, we are very concerned about  your proposal to cut the existing hydrogen fuel cell budget by over $130 million- two-thirds of the existing budget. Long- term, the benefits of the hydrogen fuel cell engine will offset the cost tremendously. There is not much oil left and we cannot afford to spend millions of dollars to dig out what remains of it when we could be spending it on clean, alternate energy.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and please reconsider your proposal to cut the hydrogen energy funds. We only have one Earth.

Our Earth needs our help! We need to stop the destruction of it and in that we need to use better free, clean energy sources.

It will not change my view of the Obama administration as I respect President Obama and support him.
