Fight to save Rambo

Target:
Everyone
Sponsored by:
The fight to save Rambo, a puppy sentenced to death because he was born after the provincial ban on pit bulls and was caught by animal control officers on Christmas Day. The owner is trying to free the dog of it's fate, however, by law, the dog must be put down.
This group is to help save this poor animals life. The owners of these animals should be the ones punished, not the animal. The animal is not the one who broke the law, the owner did. Sign this petition if you would like to help this dog.

If our society is so screwed up that it will put a dog down faster than lighting because of its breed then I expect our society to put down killers as soon as they are sentenced. Hey, it is a fair deal and the criminal got a trial and the dog didn't. The law sucks royal and have nothing better to do but to kill a dog because of its breed. The law needs to be rewritten.

I am the owner of an American Staffordshire Terrier and an American Pit Bull Terrier. I have raised these dog's since adoption. These dog's are one of the best things that has ever happened to me in my life. I have taken these dog's under my wing and gave them daily exercise, disipline and affection. I have had complete strangers stop me during my walks and complement me on how balanced they are.I strongly believe in Punish The Deed, Not The Breed. Too many innocent dog's die because of they were born a certain breed and that is wrong. Please listen to us citizens, many of us have put so much work into our dog's.Thank you in advance.

We have had our AMSTAFF for 6 years and she's the most amazing dog. She has done so much to change peoples perception of the breed with everyone who comes in contact with her. We need to start a petition to ban bad owners not these wonderful dogs! This pit ban is disgusting and based purely on ignorance.

My family and I own four (4) pit bulls, ages 1 yr to 8 yrs. I can't begin to tell everyone how disgusted I am from all of the negative publicity this breed receives. These dogs are NO different from any other breed. They are loving, loyal and deserve to be treated with the same respect and love THEY give unconditionally. The problems lie directly with the OWNERS, NOT THE DOGS! I have yet to understand the reasoning behind the bans. For Heaven's sake...sex offenders are turned loose to live in neighborhoods overflowing with children! Please help me understand why the judicial system is tougher on animal laws than on pedophiles? Or any other criminal for that matter? Vick gets 23 months in prison for "his part', and one of his dogs gets put down? God have mercy on a society who continues to punish those who cannot defend themselves either verbally or physically!

Would you kill a baby because of the circumstances they were born in? THIS IS EXCATLY THE SAME ! Punish the deed NOT the breed. Educate the youth , bring back dog liscences WITH MORE "VETTING" involved .

Rambo is to be put down because he is a certain breed. Jack the Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, Ted Bundy, were all the same breed as us, Humans. Therefore, does that mean we are all killers or we supposed to be the civilised race?

It makes me sad and angry to hear this. I am a owner of a american stafford "pit bull" too. And she is adorable. Friendly to everybody. the daughter of my sister is 1 years old and plays with my dog, so does the children of my neighberhood. I even don't understand why these dogs are forbidden by the law. The big problem are the owners who doesn't give the dog, any kind of dog, a proper education. Punish them, not the dog's! I really hope they don't put him down! greetins Sara

I have owned 2 pit bulls and have friends that own pit bulls. Honestly, the people who think all Pits should be put down are the people who have no heart whatsoever. Like comment #1524, dogs are here to be your COMPANION. YOU decide the fate of your dog, they are loyal to you and want to please YOU, so when you teach them to fight, then that's what they will do because that's what YOU want. Pit bulls are the most amazing, loving dogs that I have ever owned, no doubt about it. It hurts to know that their true loyalty can also be the factor that puts them down. Ban the fighting of Pit Bulls not the breeding!!! Anyone who has ever owned a Pit Bull, I know you can hear me out on this one..

Its disgusting that an innocents dogs life is to end simply because of a stupid man made rule. The dog hasnt injured or harmed anyone in any way except to have the misfortune to be born on the wrong date. It is a sad society we live in to condemn an innocent animal to death.

Dogs are not born with the desire to harm people or naturally gifted with bad behaviors, they are TAUGHT those behaviors everything from neglect, abuse and even red flag play games when they are younger not realizing its long term possibilities but the bottom line is its us...humanbeings...that create the agressive even violent animals...sentencing to death a animal because of uneducated and irrational fears, a gross lack of understanding is closed sighted and cruel. Would you be able to hold that animal in your arms and give the injection that kills him yourself? What if it was your family pet? Could you as easily murder that animal because someone didnt like the breed or it had barked at someone and startled them and since that day claimed it was unsafe. I sincerely doubt it. There needs to be stricter laws for owners, even basic pet education if necessary, majority of the time its not the animals fault, its the humans. Killing the animal doesnt solve the root of the problem, poor human understanding and behaviour themselves, and thats what you need to be addressing.

As I walked along the seashore This young boy greeted me. He was tossing stranded starfish Back to the deep blue sea. I said, "Tell me why you bother, Why you waste your time this way. There's a million stranded starfish Does it matter, anyway?" And he said, "It matters to this one. It deserves a chance to grow. It matters to this one. I can't save them all I know. But it matters to this one, I'll return it to the sea. It matters to this one, And it matters to me."

What harm has this poor puppy done brought up in a right environment he will be a loyal and obedient friend. It's the humans who are the cause of most of the animals plight but can they speak for themselves...NO. Please, please, spare this little innocent who has done no wrong. This was my English Bull Terrier who was one of the lucky ones and had love all his life. Sadly he died two months ago age 10, which meant I gave a chance of a better life to a dog from from a sanctuary.Give the same chance to RAMBO

Its a shame and a disgrace of how people treat animals, animals are not disposable and are just like your children. Would you put your child to sleep? The animals need a voice and we as the people need to be that voice, LEAVE Rambo Alone and let him/her live pits are not bad its the people who make them bad and they are the ones who need to be punished so if you are going to put anyone to sleep then let it be them.
