As a parent of a child with AS, it can be stressful because it is something that is hard to pinpoint. You must really TEACH your child w/AS in a different manner, besides the constant repetition of learned lessons which can be challenging. I am learning so much everyday about AS and hope everyone else does as well. Thanks!

Mr. Savage It is a shame that we have such ignorant people spewing such crap on the radio. I wish I could say that my children's autism was just an "excuse" I used. Noone asked to be in this situation, parents or the children and I would love to have rather had a child that could tell me when he was hurt or sick, but unfortunately, you were given the gift of speech instead of my child.

Michael Savage is one of those ignorant, obnoxious bullies that people seem addicted to these days, particularly in the USA. A man people despise but nonetheless listen to. I'm sure his employers are able to sell lots of advertising for his program, and believe they are also just giving the people what they want. However, at a certain point, we the people have to say no to offensive specimens like Savage. Savage is just one of countless paragons of moral & intellectual filth that glut our modern-day media. He needs to be taken off the air IMMEDIATELY. In troubled times like these, we need intelligent, informed, compassionate, strong, morally uplifting voices in the media - the very opposite of everything Savage stands for. He ought to be standing in the welfare line. However, I doubt even that would humble this arrogant megalomaniac. We don't want him polluting the airwaves any longer. FIRE MICHAEL SAVAGE!

My son has Autism and he is a very loving child. People that are around him always say he is a joy. He has never been described as a brat! I would like to know how many "Brat" children Mr. Savage has? I think that Mr Savage should work with autistic children for a while and see what a joy that can be. When a child at 4 years old says "I Love you Mommy." for the first time it worms your hart. When a child is having a melt down in a store and people are staring at you saying "why don't you control your child" it makes you mad. And when people say "you should put your son in sports" and you have to try to explane to people that he does not understand the rules, it breaks your hart. When you have to see you child strugle with things other children get so easey it hurts, but when they finely get it you are so proud becouse you know how hard they had to work for it and you are thankful becouse you know that there children out there with autism that never get it. People in mr. Savages position should think before they say things. I am glad we have freedom of speach BUT... When you are in that kind of position You should KNOW what your talking about.

I have a son with Asperger's syndrome, he is not a brat! Life has been a struggle with him and for him from day 1 but I love him so much. People who talk about Autism being a fake disease, wouldnt say that if they personaly knew someone with it or someone in they're family was Autistic. If Micheal Savage spent just one day in my shoes in the last 11 years, he'd never say anything so cruel about these children or family's ever again!
