Firmas para la Libertad de los Animales/ Signs for Animal Liberation

Al Señor D. Srgjan Kerim, Presidente de la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas y a todos los Estados Miembros de éste órgano:

Los abajo firmantes nos oponemos a la esclavitud que sufren los animales en todos los estratos de la sociedad humana. Creemos que, en el movimiento por los derechos de los animales, el mayor derecho por el que hay que trabajar es el de LA LIBERTAD. Porque de nada servirán leyes que protejan a los animales de los abusos del ser humano si esas mismas leyes no les conceden el derecho de ser libres. Además, es claro que el sistema judicial humano en que una misma ley lleva a la cárcel a la mano que abre rejas de animales y deja en libertad a sus carceleros, jamás se doblegará a las necesidades vitales de nuestros defendidos.

Los abolicionistas de la esclavitud racial de siglos pasados no se detuvieron en pedir que se dejase de violar y quemar a los negros; pedían que, sobre todo, se les otorgase su documento de "personas libres". Y en el Holocausto nazi, no sólo se exigía mundialmente el cese de las vejaciones de nazis a judíos, sino la innegociable liberación de los judíos.

Los abajo firmantes reclamamos para los animales la consideración de "seres libres" a todos los efectos, con el consiguiente retorno a sus hábitats. Porque entendemos que, mientras exista el concepto de "propiedad", los abusos de ser humano a animal jamás dejarán de producirse. 

To Mr. Srgjan Kerim, President of the General Assembly of the United Nations and to all the states members of this Agency:

The signers below are opposed to the slavery that animals are suffering in all the strata of human society. We believe that, in the animal's rights movement, the major right that is necessary to work for is FREEDOM. Because the laws that protect animals of the abuses of the human being will be useless if these same laws don't grant to them the right to be free. In addition, it is clear that the judicial human system in which the same law leads to jail to the hand that opens the bars to animals and leaves in liberty to their jailers, will never bend to the vital needs of our defended ones.

The abolitionists of the racial slavery of last centuries didn't detain to ask for violations and burnings to stop; they were asking their document of  "free people" to be granted. And in the Nazi Holocaust, the world was not only was demanding the cessation of the vexations from Nazis to Jews, but the non-negotiable liberation and freedom of the Jews.

The signers below claim for the animals the consideration of " free beings " to all the effects, with the consequent return to their habitats. Because we understand that, while the concept of "property" exists, the abuses from human being to animals will never stop.
