In response to opposition from kind consumers like you, Florida Senate Bill 1246, which would have criminalized the filming of cruelty to animals on factory farms, died in the legislature! This is a victory for animals and protects undercover investigation work in Florida that is crucial to revealing cruelty to animals. But we still need your help to stop similar bills in Minnesota and Iowa.
Even if you live outside Iowa and Minnesota, your voice is still needed. The meat from slaughtered animals crosses state lines, and the governments in these states need to hear from consumers across the country who care about the way that animals killed for food are treated. Take action here to urge the governors of Iowa and Minnesota to veto these bills if the bills reach the governors' desks!

House File 589 in Iowa and Senate File 1118 and House File 1369 in Minnesota currently on the floor are desperate attempts by agriculture industry giants to prevent consumers from learning the truth about how animals on factory farms suffer and die. Citizens' right to document cruelty to animals wherever it occurs is crucial in helping local, state, and federal officials enforce anti-cruelty laws.
