Food Stamp Program Reform.

I want the government to reform the food stamp program so that tax payers and the governments money stops being wasted! this country claims to want to end obesity in children and adults, this is a big part of the problem they are allowed to buy soda, chips, candy, TV dinners, just about anything unhealthy if it is considered food! Myself and my fellow co workers are fed up with what we see as we ring these people every day in our lines as cashiers. We know there are people that genuinely need this program and most cannot get it, while others are selling their food stamps when they should be feeding their children with it. There is no ID required when they use this card, i have personally seen many times where one person will use their card to pay for their groceries and then turn around and pay for the other persons that is with them. They come through our lines with their nails done, carrying coach purses and the latest cell phones, they buy a candy bar for fifty cents so that they can get a hundred dollars cash off their card. There needs to be a lot stricter regulations, if they can acheive this with the WIC program they can also acheive it with the food stamp program. we are all sick and tired of working long hours and living pay check to pay check while these people are apparently  living the good life! For another example i have a food stamp customer that comes in every month a young guy who buys $150.00 dollars worth of 2 liter bottles of pop and thats it. How does this happen??? Why do they get away with all this?? The list of stories we could tell is endless. the government says there is no money for school programs and librarys etc well they need to come and stand in our shoes and see what we see every month! Money is going down the drain with this program!
