Hello, my name is Sara Semcheski, I graduated from Sun Valley in 2006. Mr. Frank Dowman was one of the best teachers there, and so many of his students felt and continue to feel a great loss when we learned of his death. Several of my friends and I thought that a man that meant as much to Sun Valley and the community as Mr. Dowman did deserves to be remembered always, and we want to suggest to the school board that the science wing in Sun Valley be dedicated to him as the Frank Dowman Memorial Wing. We will be writing our proposal to the school board and present it to them along with a list of signatures of anyone who would like to support our proposal. This site is for anyone who wants to sign but is not able to come.

A scholarship fund has been established memory of Mr. Frank Dowman.

This fund will provide an a award which will be presented in memory of Mr. Dowman to graduating senior each year at Sun Valley.

Please consider the request of this thoughtful young lady. As a former student in, I found him to be engaging, articulate and highly effective as an educator. He was a teacher who always put his students before himself. Mr. Dowman has my vote!
