My family and I go to Pigeon Forge TN for vacation about once a year.  On my last trip I discovered at the time 3 live bears in concrete cages in a gift shop that you could pay to see and feed.  Of course my daughter being small wanted to see the bears so I took her in.  Needless to say it was so sad.  My husband who really isnt even an animal person had to leave because it was such a sad scene.  The three bears were on concrete flowers with some concrete walls.  The rest of their walls were iron bars.  People are walking around everywhere throwing in bread and apple cores to feed them.  The bears were not hungry and seemed extremely depressed and the food was flying in from all over bouncing off the floor, some mean little kids decided since they wouldnt eat the food then they would just hit them with it.  So they layed there while food was being thrown AT them and honestly the sadness and their miserable lives shown through in their eyes.  I took my daughter by the hand and I walked out with tears in my eyes.  Now I see there are 5 bears now instead of 3.  This place is a gift shop and ice cream parlor not a place for wild animals.  They need to be moved to a better home or better yet trained and released back in the wild.  Lets help stop the miserable day in and day out that these bears face.  Sign the petition and pass it on.

We the undersigned are outraged at the conditions the 5 bears live in at the 3 bears gift shop in  pigeon forge.  These animals should be in the wild not a $5 attraction for people to see their miserable lives.  People stand and gawk at them, throw food at them, antigonize them, and this according to your city is a OK practice.  These bears lives are horrific and they have suffered enough.  Please do the right thing and urge the 3 bears gift shop to find a more suited home for the poor bears.  Go and see the bears for yourself and it will be clear to you that they do not belong in a gift shop.  thank you for your time.  I trust you will do the right thing.
