Free David Neal Johnson

David Neal Johnson was convicted and sentenced to 20 years for a fight that resulted in minor injuries for both parties involved. He was unable to afford a good lawyer and has since been in prison over four years. Did he do something wrong? Yes. Did he get a fair trial? No. Does he deserve to have his case heard again? Yes. Should he be set free until a new trial?  Yes.

David has a wife and a 17-year old son (who was 12 when David was taken away). They need him at home. He did not get a fair trial and did not have a good enough lawyer to fight hard enough for him. To learn more about David's story, visit his blog: freedeuter

David Neal Johnson was sentenced to 20 years and has so far served four. He currently resides in Faribault MN prison (ID #220322). His lawyer original lawyer did not serve him well and the judge would not allow key facts in the trial which would have helped his case.

Please take a look at his case. And the fact he has a 17-year old son, wife, responsibilities. He has served his time and, at the very least, deserves a new, fair trial. Prior to conviction, he held a responsible job as supervisor, encouraged his son to care for animals and even show them at the fair. He has missed out on his son's formidable years -- what price will his son pay for this?
