We are, who signed this petition, plea to the government of Sudan to immediately release Miss Nahla Bashir Adam who imprisoned in an individual secure facility, which is part of Women Prison in Omdurman / Sudan. Miss Nahla is suffering worse health conditions due to her torture and voluntary strike, since February 1,2009, by deciding not to take food until her releasing or fair trail. She is forbidden from right to visiting, whether by her family and friends, and she is not allowed to contact here Attorney.



Miss Nahla Bashir Adam was arrested on December 12,2008, by Sudan Security in El Di’n town (South Dar Fur) where she was visiting her relatives there, then she moved into secure facility in Hijleej, then she moved into various Sudan Security facilities in Khartoum, where she end up at Omdurman Women Prison without court decree, since December 18,2009.



During here arrest and illegal detention time, Miss Nahla has suffered continuous torture (whether on her body or her mental health) and difficult indignity treatments. She was put in chains, her eyes covered with bands, suffered continuous slaps on her face and hit by water tubes in different parts of her body, threaten by gun machine on her forehead, and faced faked execution.

Miss Nahla Bashir Adam, from Misseria tribe, is 25 years old, citizen of EL Mujlad town in South Kordufan Province, and graduated from Omdurman Islamic University in 2006. She is a local civil activist in Al Mujlad Youth Society for Child Advocacy, where she is the Vice President.


Miss Nahla was accused by Sudan Security as an intelligence agent who working for Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) which operates as one of the Armed rebels groups fighting against Sudan regime. Miss Nalha was known locally as peaceful activist who is working for children advocacy and peace among local communities in El Mujlad, and she has nothing to do with any kind of armed rebels groups in West Sudan.

We are, who signed this petition, plea to Sudan Government for immediate release of Miss Nahla Bahir Adam or fair trial. It is one of our main awareness that all tortures and illegal arrest against Miss. Nahla is kind of abuse to her constitutional rights and constitutes grieve abuse of Human Rights. It also one of our main concerns that the worse health conditions of Miss. Nalha Bashir Adam and she is need immediate medical care to save her life.

Nahla’s protection. We plea for Nahla immediate release or fair trail, and held accountable any individual participated on Nahla torture and illegal arrest.

On 12/12/2008 the Sudanese security forces has arrested in Al muglad Ms. Nahla Bashir Adam, a 25 years old woman graduated from Omdurman Islamic University living in Al muglad town, South Kordufan.

Ms. Nahla is the Vice President of " Youth for Children Association",a non - profit organization active in South Kordfgan. Nahla Bashir is a wide - known activist in Al muglad. She is now kept in Omdurman Prison for Women, west of Khartoum, Sudan. 

Ms. Nahla was subject to torture and miss treatment, including beating her on face, preventing her from using bathroom, calling her racist names, threanting her of summary execution and aiming on her head from machine guns. She was forced to sleep on the ground without any covers or bed for several days.

At 5.00 pm on 1-2-2009 Ms. Nahla Bashir Adam began an open hunger strike until she is released or faced court.
