Corey, Just want to say that you are in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate. You were here for us when we moved down here. You gave us a few good laughs, too, like the time you ran your truck through the water on the road and then couldn't figure out why your truck wouldn't start. You had to take the air filter out and it was completely soaked. You had to let your engine dry out for quite awhile. We all got a good laugh out of that one!! We miss those kinds of antics from you. You were willing to give your life for your country. Some people just join the service for the money and education, but, you were serious about your job. You do not deserve what is happening. I am sorry that I lost touch with your mom, but, I will get in touch with her next. We are here for you so please do not hesitate. Anything we can do, we will do it willingly. Do not lose total faith in the American people. You have been screwed by many, but, there are many more standing beside you willing to give you their strength to stand tall and proud!!!
First off I want to say that Corey is in my thoughts and prayers! This should not have happened to him. He is a good person. Infact I remember when I first moved here, he was the first person to come over and ask me(a complete stranger) if I needed help carrying boxes and furniture into the house. Ever since then he was always willing to help when he saw me outside working. So everyone, lets give him our support. He was willing to risk his life for us to have the freedom we have. Why can't we return the favor??
He is a scapegoat for the order givers. Two years in solitary is enough. Young, ignorant guy punished forever? Ridiculous! Why aren't the higher ups punished? Order roleplay training for these soldiers so they know how far obedience to the commanders goes. The public needs to be trained as well. Let Corey go!
Please do not lose hope, Corey. You are a precious young man, and this should never have happened to anyone. This is so unjust. You are not alone. I pray for you daily. I will not stop. Please stay strong.
I have two children in the Army right now. My son just returned from Afghanistan and my daughter will be going to Kuwait on the 20th of this month...only by the grace of God it was not my son or daughter or yours, or yours. They are so young and we expect so much from them and yet we treat them so bad. I think he has been punished enough for what he was so well trained to do. We all know how to read between the lines and we are far from stupid. Set him free, he has suffered enough...but it will remain with him for life. How can we possibly have 'compassion' for everyone else in the world but for our own.
As least he's alive, unlike the restrained young man he "bravely" sprayed bullets at while out of control and panicky. Good thing he was caught before he did any more harm, well trained my ass.
I have read reports where it shows he should not be behind bars and his life ruined. I believe those reports of investigations more so thn the prosecutors.
He did what had to be done to protect us here at home. You do not send our fighting men and women to prision for doing what they were trainded to do. We let to many very bad spyes go free, ones that kill our people and roune many lives. He did not do any of this. Stand up and fight for what is right.
