WHAT IF THIS WERE YOUR SON!!!!!

Our soldiers are on edge 24/7. There is no front line to retreat from.

There is no uniform to identify the enemy. You have layers of ROE [rules of engagement], stress, fatigue and when something goes wrong they face accusations that bring life sentences. I fear we may be eating our own

Take the case of another American soldier, 24-year-old PFC Corey Clagett of South Carolina, who was accused of murder in connection with the deaths of three Iraqi insurgents he had taken as prisoners. Despite proclaiming his innocence, his JAG attorney %u201Cwho was defending her first murder trial -- advised him to plead guilty and not risk life in prison without parole.

Corey Clagett is now serving an 18-year sentence at Ft. Leavenworth prison and spending 23 hours each day in solitary confinement. Corey Clagett was recruited, trained and taught to kill the enemy so that we may each enjoy our American way of life. Now it's time for America to pay its debt of gratitude and allow Corey Clagett to return to his.

Pfc Corey Clagett did not shoot and kill anyone. Corey Clagett was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time under bad command!!!!!

Congressman Bob Filner's Of California wrote a clemency letter on Corey%u2019s behalf. Also Republican congressional candidate Bob Watkins of California has been involved. Noticeably absent are South Carolina lawmakers. Also who continue to get Corey%u2019s story heard is Rick Amato who is one of talk radio's top hosts, a keynote speaker, columnist and TV personality. Rick is the host of "The Rick Amato Show" a San Diego based talk program that airs weeknights from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM (PST).His listeners help raise money for Corey's Frist round of Appeals.

Please help us get the word to the president, Corey and many other soldiers should have justice in this war as well.

Corey and I went to middle school and high school together. He has always loved this country and has sacrificed a lot to protect this country through his service with the military. Corey is a great guy and he deserves a chance to have a life!

I went to high school with Corey. He should not spend any time in jail. He was the one fighting for our rights and now he has none. What justice is that?

It isn't fair our commanders in this war send our young americans into split decisions that could put a good role model in jail.

Sometimes the justice system makes me sick! Our troops are over there fighting for our freedom and soldiers who get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time get punished for something that they had no hand in and have to sit in a prison for the rest of their lives!! Seems like very unfair and unjust repayment for their strength and bravery and years and months away from home to me! Please give this soldier another chance at life!

I can't imagine! His poor family. My husband is a US Marine and I can not imagine if that was us in shoes. Him and his family are in our prayers

It's amazing the punishment one recieves for signing up and defending his country during the time of war. If this individual did not shoot or kill anyone than there should be no reason for him to waste away 18 years of life in confinement. Members of the military are trained to protect, serve and kill [if need be] and it seems to me this young man was just doing his duties as a soldier for the United States of America. This soldier needs to be free and live his life. It's awful that an individual who signs up to serve our country is taken away from his family the way this young soldier was. This soldier needs to be honored for the duties he has served for the United States and needs to be free to come home to his family and loved ones. A young person such as himself needs to be able to live life. He has a lot to offer life...give him a chance. FREE THIS SOLDIER.
