Last March the Great Ape Protection Act was introduced to Congress.  It would provide for the release of more than 500 chimpanzees from cages in laboratories to sanctuaries.  Some of these animals have spent their whole lives in cages and driven almost insane by this cruel confinement and rough handling by many of their keepers.  Soon this act will be voted upon.  To insure its passage please call or write your senators and representatives asking them to support this bill.  You can call 202-224-3121 and the operator will tell you who your senators and representative are and give you their numbers.  PLEASE help pass this bill!
