I have been a Gene Watson fan since about 1970. I was very lucky to meet Gene and actually become friends. During one of his shows at the Hitching Post in Bristol, TN I got to meet another friend of Gene's - Johnnie Baily. Johnnie was one of the nicest and most wornderful person I ever met. We became great friends. Johnnie has now passed and I still miss her as I bet Gene does too. I lost contact with Gene but finally in 2007 Gene got back to Bristol, TN at Rhythm & Roots and I got to go to his show. He was as great as ever!!! And it had been about 20 years since I had been to a show. I tried but didn't get to talk with him that evening but maybe I will be able to this year as he will he back to R&R. I can not wait. I am signing this because I think everyone should have the chance to own all of Gene's music and be able to hear him anytime they want. Thank you for your time.

While many other "so called" country artist have sold their souls and swallowed their convictions to become a part of Nashville's commerical machinery, Gene has remained truely country in the purest sense of the word. He is a country music lengend, a hero, and a master troubadour that country artist and fans will always be able to describe as what a true country singer should sound like. When someone asks, "What is country music," all we country fans have to say is, "You ever heard of Gene Watson."

Hello, just wanted to say that I am a HUGE Gene Watson fan, have been for many years, and have seen him in cGene ALWAYS "brought the house down" with that high and mighty voice of his! He is one of my top 5 artists of all time (including country, rock, etc...), and he is definitely NOT recognized nearly enough for "that voice" that only he has. When you hear him do "Farewell Party", well all I can say is "WOW!" You'd have to hear it to see what I'm talking about. He IS what True blue COUNTRY music is all about!!! oncert on numerous occasions. Gene Watson is the greates country singer ever. I would really love to have a new box set containing all of his hits and some new recordings. I think this would be a great investment for your label.

I would love this to be released. I grew up listening to Gene Watson as both my parents were huge fans. They first saw him approx 25 years ago in Belfast and then he starting touring again and this time i was there with them. They said he was better than ever. I just love his voice and have met him.
