Get Rid Of School Dress-Code Forever!!!

i go to this small middle school in a small town. our school has started this new dress-code for school next year. they say it is a dress code but it is really uniforms. all of my friends that i have talked to say that it is stupid so i am petitioning to have the dress code removed and let us wear what WE want!!

We mean no disrespect but we think that some of the rules on the new dress for sucess code are way too strict and that they should be changed. you've limited our expression to pretty much, nothing. and the main reason for education is to support the passion in the students. we are passionate about school but we would rather learn in what we feel as comfortable. but with what you have done has limited our choices. we will be more self-concious than before and we won't focus on our school work. we are sorry that we have had to take such an action but we feel that it is necessary.

I personally hate dress code. Growing up in a school that didn't have a dress code of any kind, I felt free. But even though I was only in Elementary School when I left to PISD, I still know what dress code was. Dress code is not for public schools. Students should be free to express who they are as a citizen of the United States. Dress code should be at home, and if the parents feel that their kids are acceptable, the schools should have no say, since its the parents job to teach us right from wrong.
