Sean Blakemore and Laura Wright are pure magic when they share scenes together on General Hospital as the characters of Shawn Butler and Carly Jax! It's been a long time since we have fallen for a potentional soap couple the way we have with them. The slow build from Carly helping Shawn when he was on the side of the road bleeding after being shot in early 2011 to Shawn being Carly's rock during a difficult time in her life, then followed by an unsuspecting connection for both of them--we have loved every step of the way. Right now, even though both Carly and Shawn care deeply for each other, Shawn is pushing her away because he is scared. Please let Shawn fight for the woman he has fallen for, Carly is falling for him too!

We want to see love and romance on GH in 2012!

We the undersigned are excited for the coming year on General Hospital and would love to see the show last for years to come! The one thing we ask for is a good 'old fashioned' romance between the characters of Shawn Butler and Carly Jax, who are portrayed by Sean Blakemore and Laura Wright. The chemistry between Shawn and Carly is amazing and we would love to see them move forward as a couple & have a story written for them. They met in January 2011, Carly reached out to Shawn shortly after their initial meeting by bringing Shawn into her home to recover on her couch after he had been shot. Shawn was guarded but he became Carly's rock as her world unraveled and her husband, Jax, faked his death. As time went by Shawn and Carly became not only employer/employee and friends but also discovered they meant more to each other, much more! Shawn had several moments that he would let Carly in, he opened up about his dad's death, talked about his PTSD and they shared a couple steamy kisses along the way! Thanks to Carly and his close bond, the walls Shawn built up all his life started to crumble, he was opening up. Of course these moments were short lived because as soon as he would open up he would back track. Just like Carly said, "You pull me close with one hand, as you push me away with the other". Shawn is scared because as he told Ewen, he lost everyone he has ever cared about. Please continue to explore this couple and write an amazing story we all know you are capable of, there is SO much more to explore with these two! Please give us a Shawn and Carly romance on General Hospital in 2012!
