Kentucky has never have an team in the modern NFL. Many say that we don't need an NFL team because we already have a number of teams around Kentucky, or that Kentucky couldn't have an NFL team because we are too poor.
However, an NFL team would work in Kentucky and is needed in Kentucky. The University of Kentucky Men's Basketball team has led the nation 21 times in the last 33 seasons in attendance. In recent years, attendance for The University of Kentucky Football team's games has been above 70,000. This proves that the people of Kentucky are not too poor to support a Kentucky team.
The stadium that a Kentucky team would play their games at could be, if located in Lexington, Commonwealth Stadium, though it is located on UK's campus. It can seat over 70,000 people, which is more than some NFL stadiums. This could be the temporary playing location for Kentucky's NFL team while a new stadium was being built.
