Android, owned by Google, has released in the Android Market a new download-able game application for phones called Dog Wars (developed by Kage Games LLC). Dog Wars is a dog fighting game. Players feed, water, train and FIGHT the virtual dog for virtual money. It is clear that the people at Google/Android /Kage Games think dog fighting is a joke and that perpetuating the myth that pit bulls are inherently aggressive has no repercussions.

We the undersigned are asking Google and Android to immediately remove the Android phone application entitled "Dog Wars"(developed by Kage Games LLC) from the market.
Surely, such a flagrant disregard for animal welfare, combined with impressionable youth targeting is a very bad idea. Everyone is familiar with the Michael Vick case by now, so there can be no justification based on ignorance. Training animals to fight for human entertainment is illegal and immoral in real life, so why would any company promote it as an appropriate virtual activity?
Google has done an outstanding job in other areas such as Google Maps/Earth and Gmail. We can all benefit from such positive advancements in technology, so please continue to work in this direction.
