Growing Population of Coyotes In Lynwood Illinois

Target:
Concern Citizens/ Village and State Representatives
The Growing population of Coyotes in South Suburban Lynwood Illinois has posed danger on small pets and children in the community.  There has been numerous attacks on small pets.  The community needs to be pro-active not re-active to this situation.  As of this year there has been new Coyote hunting regulations implemented in response to this issue.  Coyotes have begun to socialized in this community due to the lack of response to this problem.  Coyotes have begun to feed on the ducks on Lake Lynwood as well as other wild life in our back yards. Village officials must take control of this situation.

Move the coyote to a more remote place. But children and pets should not be put in harms way. There's a way to fix these problems.

1. it is the humans, not the coyotes that are overpopulated. all wildlife numbers have fallen drastically in the past 50 years. 2. sprawl wastes water, open spaces, wildlife, transportation costs (roads, etc.)and farmland. 3. we should have built sustainable cities (up not out)and started controlling the human population via birth and immigration. When it comes to the human species bigger is not better 4. You are in their back yard, not vice versa. This petition is like the people that complain about the indian reservations taking up space.

My dog Cobey and encountered a Coyote in our back yard. Cobey had to have surgery and she is still healing and my family are still recovering from this. Cobey is a part of our family. Seeing the Coyote with Cobey in his mouth was like viewing one of your children being ate by a wild animal.
