Wal-mart's corporate human resources, Pat Peele, has informed Wal-mart employees that being diagnosed with the Viral Infection H1N1 will not be excused from work. They are still required to come to work and possibly spread the virus to co-workers and customers. Two main worries are that customers who are pregnant or customers that bring their babies in the store are at the highest risk of catching this flu virus from the employees. We need to fight for the safety of our staff and customers. H1N1 is currently a serious matter in the United States and we need to help in getting Wal-mart to realize the situation they are putting other workers and customers in when they don't excuse someone off for work that is diagnosed with this virus.

We the undersigned would like to bring to your attention the fear that has been instilled in the people of the united states about the H1N1 virus. Customers of Wal-mart do not want to come in the store and have a cashier ring up their products if they are suffering from this virus. There is a possibility of spreading it to them and more importantly to their children. There are also quite a few concerned employees who worry about if they may have the virus spread to them if their co-workers are not allowed to be excused from work when they are diagnosed with H1N1. We come to you today to plead with you to please take this virus seriously and not put people who havent been infected in harms way.
