Hair Colours In School

  • recipient: make unnatural hair colours an open debate among UK school staff members.

Hair colour is a sign of individuality - nobody has the same haircut, and everybody's style is different. I think that hair colour should also be considered at schools - they too are individual and are fun to wear.
However, schools around the UK are against this idea, and won't allow students to dye their hair in 'unnatural' or 'extreme' hair colours. What I'm hoping for is a way for my views - and the views of thousands of others - to be considered for an open debate over unnatural hair colours. I hope that you sign this petition and help us make this an open debate.
Please tell as many people as you can so we can gain more signatures anf reach our goal even faster!

We the undersigned are trying to make unnatural hair colours allowable in secondary schools (particularly Stroud High School, Gloucestershire). We understand that schools do not allow them and have their reasons for it, but we seriously doubt that hair colour can be as 'bad an example for students' and as 'distracting' as teachers make it out to be. Surely we can be given a chance to have our hair dyed - it's not like we're asking a lot, here.

All we are asking for is for your support with allowing unnatural hair colours such as pink, blue, bright red etc. in schools.
