Permanantly deny permission to import and breed monkeys at a horrendous facility in Guayama, Puerto Rico that is under construction. Despite its repeated violations of Puerto Rican and U.S. laws, Bioculture Puerto Rico, Inc., continues to build a massive monkey-breeding facility that will confine more than 4,000 monkeys captured from the wild at its new location, force them to breed, and sell their offspring to U.S. and foreign laboratories, where they will be imprisoned, poisoned, mutilated, and killed in experiments.
U.S. and Puerto Rican government officials as well as a judge have found that Bioculture has repeatedly violated the law during the construction of its facility in Puerto Rico.
We ask Puerto Rico Senators and Congressmen to support R.S. 1514 and keep this shameful and corrupt company from establishing itself in Puerto Rico.
