It is time that we force the Missouri legislatrue to funnel some of the gas tax money into transit projects. This way we can get public transit systems expanded.

We want our bus and streetcar systems to be expanded for the sake of clean air and so our state residents can have eaiser ways to and from work It's the only way to help rebuild our cities and keep our residents out of trouble. Owning a car has gotten pretty expensive these days. And to help get the economy reorganized and back on track is to have better public transit.
We signed the "Have the Gas tax go to public transit" petition!

Robust rapid transit is an essential but perpetually under-invested element of thriving urban centers. The balance of funding needs to change to reflect this and to enable meaningful transportation choices for all people--not just "single" versus "high occupancy" driving.

Denial of good public transit is just plain stupid. We need to make sure that Public transit is the first priority when it comes to creating a transportation bill.

In a post "peak oil" situation, public transit will make our community more resilient and stable. Every highway expansion/ rebuild would do well to include a mass transit line in the construction (in urban areas). When we look back at this time of transition, we will wonder at the lack of foresight if we do not do so.
Thanks,
Brian Power

The benefits of funding mass transit are obvious and hardly needs to be reiterated. Support it or not, we are paying attention to your actions, like it or not. The choice is yours, be part of the solution or perish with the rest of the unsustainable.
