MAKE GOVERNMENT HEALTH COVERAGE 4 PETS!!

In Canada today if you have an animal or are planning on getting an animal you almost have to have more money than you need to look after a child just to get basic health care for your pet. If your animal has a tooth decay for example you need $1000 to pull it out. Surgeries are so expensive for pets its ridiculous. Even getting your pet spayed costs $150 to $250 depending on your vet and the gender of your animal. We all take animals in expecting to be able to take care of all of it's needs. We are then left heart broken when we find that we can't afford to pay for their medical bills. A living thing is always first priority when it comes to money, but when it means you can't afford your home or get to work or pay your bills because your pet is sick or injured it sometimes is impossible to spend the money. If you are anything like me, your pet is as important to you as your best friend and it hurts when you are unable to help them when they are in need. Many people say that you should never take on an animal if you can't afford. In Canada there are thousands of homeless animals that need support and many people who would love to take them in but are afraid to because of the obscene costs of veterinary services. There are also many people who already own pets and find themselves unable to afford to keep there animal healthy. Even check ups for animals cost $50 and up. Some people can afford only to put their animal down when they are suffering rather then buying medicine, or treatment which is much much more expensive. I believe that this wrong, but what options do people have when their animals are suffering and they haven't the money to spend on proper health care. This leaves animals and there owners suffering and struggling just to get by...
We need health coverage for pets... The Government of Canada needs to address the animals of their country as being important and respected. Besides the pets of  Canada and all over the world are a huge part of keeping it's citizens happy , motivated and in good company. So if its not for the pets do it for the pet owners or for those people who would love to own a pet but can't afford vet bills. We all suffer when our pets suffer!!!
