HELP ANIMALS FROM BAIA MARE CITY ZOO

Help save the animals from Baia Mare City Zoo.
   Animals are confined to small, barren, often filthy cages, with next to nothing to do day in and day out.
     Animals suffer from poor welfare as a result of inadequate housing, care and diet.
        Deprived of opportunities to exercise their natural behaviors, all animals experience some degree of frustration and boredom, in the most severe cases these animal become psycologicaly disturbed and may manifest abnormal behaviours.

Top problems:
-inappropriate social groupings
-infrequent cleaning
-undersized enclosures
-no enrichment
-inappropriate food
-lack of or/and dirty water
-lack of trained, experienced animal care staff
-untreated injuries and illnesses
-inappropriate fencing and (no) landscaping

Every living breathing creature deserves humane treatment and that includes nutrious food for that specific animal, appropriate shelter, socialization and exercise. There is no excuse for having animals and providing appropriate care. This zoo needs to reform or give up the animals to an appropriate zoo or animal sanctuary.

A a animal health specialist (of domestic and exotic species), I know how CRUCIAL it is for zoos to provide the most well-simulated environment for the animals...ESPECIALLY ONES IN CAGES! It's INHUMANE to force animals(of any kind) to live in this type of enclosure without the appropriate(nor even minimal) environmental details that are basic requirements of life for all animals--INCLUDING HUMANS!! It may not seem important but animals do die without the proper environment as what occurs with species extinction, the reason zoos are needed in the first place(ie FOR EDUCATION, NOT JUST ENTERTAINMENT, OF PEOPLE)!!!

Things have to change, the animals have no fault to be there, it's humans fault so it's humans responsibility. It's not ethical to keep the animals in such poor conditions. Even for the criminals, the society have better and more and more improved life conditions. Hire experienced animal care staff, make much bigger and appropriate enclosures, assure proper and enough food and water for the residents, assure medical treatment for any illness or injury and you'll really have healthy and happier animals there. If you cannot, you better ask for help, for sponsorship or ask for proper sanctuaries to take the animals in their care.
