Please help support H.B. 2130/ S.B. 1150 to ban killing animals launched from box traps or tethered in place for target practice. This legislation would effectively halt pigeon shoots in Pa. Most of these animals are not killed instantly but are left to suffer after being shot. This type of animal cruelty simply should not be tolerated! Please show your support for this important piece of legislation. Pigeon shoots are not a sport they are just a form of animal cruelty! Please help end this!

Let get real here guys, pigeons are like any other birds, they feel pain and fear when scared and hurt. Tying them up and shooting them out of the sky was something people did in the dark ages. Don't you know that skeet shooting is so much more challenging? Let's be proud of our evolution as human beings and ban this horrific sport. We demand more rights for our feathered friends and will not tolerate this behavior. This law needs to be passed, and Pa needs to take along hard look at it's animal rights Laws. E.L. Scott

It is outrageous that absolutely nothing has been done to protect our NYC pigeons from the massive illegal trapping that has been going on for years. The netters are nothing more than a bunch of lowlife savages taking advantage of this opportunity to make a fast buck but the extravagantly paid, educated men who make a living as purported animal lovers yet make no effort whatsoever to fulfill their obligation to halt the illegal capture of innocent birds to die horribly as live shotgun targets are far worse. Shame on you, ASPCA and Parks Commissioner!!

People forget that humans are animals too and just as we can feel pain, non-human animals feel pain too. Just as we want to live and be free, they deserve the same. We are humans but we must be more humane. Other creatures are not put here for us to exploit and derive our selfish pleasure out of their suffering! We must not take advantage of them just because they do not have voices to stand up for themselves. These pigeon shoots are barbaric and must be banned immediately!

These pigeon shoots should be illegal, they serve no constructive purpose for our society and they only cause pain, death, and cruelty to one of the earth's most peaceful species. Contrary to arguments, these shoots do NOT control populations, and there are much more humane ways to actually control populations which do not involve killing or cruelty whatsoever. No state, organization, or municipality should condone the senseless and painful shooting of defenseless animals for sport or any other reason.
