Help La Porte TX Disabled Citizens Get Transportation
There are special needs high school graduates/disabled citizens in La Porte, Texas, who need transportation assistance to/from DayHab, Vocational training, work, and shopping. Once these children graduate from the La Porte High School system, all city sponsored transportation services stops. There's no transition process in place (ISD to community) that could provide transportation to the life skills type of facility which help these young adults become productive citizens of the neighborhood/city/surrounding cities/state.
We the undersigned, would like the City of La Porte, Texas, to design and provide a transportation program via bus or van for its disabled citizens. There are numerous disabled people in La Porte in need of tranpertation in the surrounding area (Baytown, Deer Park, Clear Lake, etc.). People need rides to DayHab, Vocational training, work, grocery store, and shopping. This much needed services will be greatly appreciated.
