Help End Abuse Of Health Care Employees

All health care facilities, and especially nursing homes, rely heavily on it's Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and the nursing assistants, to provide the treatments and care the patients and/or residents require. All too often, staffing is purposefully reduced, creating possible health hazards for residents or patients, and inadequate care problems such as unnecessarily over-stressed and abused employees. Staff complaints are largely ignored as many out-of-touch administrators, and their usually willing to comply Directors of Nursing, continually place their Bottomline above the care of patients and blatantly disregard the well-being of hard working nursing employees. One specific example: A certain nursing facility has actually given it's nursing staff an ultimatum that basically states, "You will work 12 hour shifts or you will be fired." A Director of Nursing told her staff, "You're either in, or you're out," successfully turning a health care facility for seniors into her own private dictatorship. Health care employees are also people with families. This type of unfair mistreatment and abuse of authority must not stand. Please help those who help You when you need them most, help bring about fair treatment laws that specifically protect health care personnel from authority abusive administrators and supervisors.
Thank You very much.
We the Undersigned,

Thank you for working to ensure there is adequate health care staffing, which reduces the largely unnecessary stress experienced by nursing staff, in all health care facilities.

We also respectfully request you consider any and all reported cases of health care employee/nursing staff labor abuse, perpetrated by administrators and/or D.O.N. nursing supervisors  who continually place ultimatums upon unprepared employees. Not only is this currently occurring in Northbrook Illinois, as presented in this petition, nurses from other nursing facilities in Illinois state similar treatment and/or harassment as well.

We thank you for All that you do, and have done, for health care patients and employees.
