petition to gov about possible marijuana legalisation
Marijuana, Legalise it in Australia, Restrictions should not be placed on private and personal use of plants of any kind in any country which calls itself "free." Alcohol and Tobacco kill countless people each year,
yet remain completely legal. Marijuana, according to Surgeon
General's studies, has killed no one. Zero (0). It should not
only be legalized for medical use, but for recreational use as
well. Also, it is a waste of our tax dollars to continue enforcing
the "war on drugs." It is ineffective and completely useless.
Hundreds of violent criminals are walking away while the government
is thinking of ways to keep this harmless drug from the public.
I urge you to please consider our requests and legalise this harmless drug.

someone in Australia? Got an answer, you bigots?

we the undersigned believe that marijuana should be legalised and so do 10000 other people.
im not asking for something to extreem, do your own research marijuana can not kill the consumer yet cigarettes and alcohol cause many deaths each year and are legal to use. i agree laws still need to be put in place like no driving while intoxicated which can already be inforced by rrdt (random roadside drug tests) same as with alcohol. i hope that this petition will pull some weight with 10000 signatures to legalise something that is natural, and not dangerous sceen as last time i checked it was still a free country. plus if marijuana was legalised and controlled i believe that most violent crimes will decrease. cannabis is a great way of relaxing at home after work for most people who smoke they aren't street racing, or bashing innocent citizens no they are at home having a giggle and trying to be a little bit happier. To keep this as an illegal substance is rediculos when police attention should be focused on something that destroyes the happyness of most auatralian citizens. ie drugs that cause violence, or terrorism, or maybe if it is legalised than the crime rate will drop because most australian citizens will be at home having the time of there life legally saying i knew i could believe in my country.... thank you for taking the time to read through this petition and i hope u put it to an australian wide vote or at least do your own studies have a real think about it and make an informed decision. ow and by the way the health risks should not affect your decision because there are alot worse stuff out there. thanks again.
