Because i have grandchildren and the school system now days scares me. When prayer was in school it was a lot safer and the kids seem to have a lot more respect then they do now

America is a Christian nation based on Judeo Christian principles. Taking prayer, the 10 Commandments, & any debate over the origins of life have effectively destroyed the moral fabric of America's youth. The fallout has been violence, fornication, abortion, substance abuse, lowered self-esteem, cutting, suicide, beatings for fun/publicity, school shootings, sex acts among minors on school property, sex between minors & adults, theft, lying, cheating, etc... As a parent who sends her children off to the landmine we call "school" every day, you bet I pray!!! We pray in schools AFTER a blood bath shooting rampage & erect crosses & remark that students "shalt not kill". Why not try telling them BEFORE they shoot each other?

Because looking back on history when did all of the horrible stuff in schools start to happen?... when prayer was taken out of schools.. I have three children and they desearve the right to pray.. the way I see it if you don't want to, don't, but don't tell those that do want to that they can't!!!

My husband and I are trying to do this very thing right now as advisors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We had the Superintendant of our Public schools attend one of our meetings about two weeks ago. Students,you have rights,EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS !!!!!

I believe that since they have taken prayers out of the schools there has been nothing but destruction upon our kids and their classmates. when there was pray in school you never heard of all these shooting, or any of the teen violence that of which you hear of now. With out prays in our schools i am even scared to know what is going on in them. They have taken God out of the schools, that of whom is the protector, and gave the devil room to move on in. it is a scarry thing to even send your kids to school any more. It use to be a place to send your kids to learn, now it is a place t send them to learn that not of what you need to have an education but that of how to sell and deal drugs, how to have gang related activities, and much more. we need to trust in God and put prayer back in schools and not let the devil have any more control over our childrens lives.

Without God, we have NOTHING! Who said my children cannot pray in school? I would LOVE to meet the person(s). I wasn't given the right to fight this decision then, but I'm fighting it now. To live for Christ is everything, and to deny him is eternal hell. Me and my family would DIE for Christ, and prayer MUST be brought back to everything we do, including government and schools! If people don't believe in God, then why do they spend the money in which His name is on? They are hypocrites, and should not be allowed to buy anything. i am a christian that also believe we need prayer in schools again i am a highschool student so I see what happens firs hand.. and it is not pretty the reason tha kid are doing it is because they aren't being taught to have god in their lives...

God has also put on my heart to start a petition to get prayer back in our school. There has been a tremendous increase in violence on many campuses across american,futher indicating the need for prayer in our public school system.
