Help Get Mr. Knodle His Job Back!
Mr. James Knodle was recently suspended indefinelty from teaching at south for tackling an insubordinate student . He was suspended because the school administrators belived he demonstrated excessive force in the handling of the situation. However, I belive that there was no ''excessive'' force, watching how ''certain'' other administrators handle these situations there sure as heck no excessive force. So If you really are a Rebel, sign this petition to get Mr. Knodle back! We only have 30 days before the hearing at the board of education where you know he will be terminated. We have already lost almost a week, so we need to make up for the lost time. If you really love and care about Mr. Knodle and his future, lets band together and get this done. SIGN THE PETITON! We the petiton signers represent the student body at South to the Board regarding the indefinite suspension and pending investigation of Social Studies department member, James Knodle. An incident was reported to the Administration on April 23, by a teacher here at South, suggesting that Mr. Knodle took inappropriate disciplinary action against a student. Needless to say, Knodle was out of the building before 3:30pm that day. It is my understanding that a hearing will be held at the Board within the next 30 days regarding the alleged incident. The students of South High cannot wait 30 days. The school is in shambles because of these unfortunate circumstances. We want our teacher back. We want our education. Mr. Knodle has been indefinitely replaced by a long-term substitute. I cannot begin to describe the distaste that Mr. Knodle's students, including myself have for this situation.
We resent the loss of a teacher we love, and the injustice being done to us by our Administration.%u200B The students and faculty of South High will not stand for this any longer. We have started an underground "support Knodle" movement. We are secretly distributing green ribbons to be worn over our hearts to signify our loyalty, and our sadness. No Administrator is going to discourage me from doing what's right. James Knodle is a great teacher, educator, coach, and friend to all of his students here at South. As a South graduate himself, he's a Rebel to the bone. He is a catalyst for discussion and debate; he challenges us every day to think beyond conventional ideas. He inspires an interest in social studies and history that many of us would not otherwise have. He%u2019s honest and tough, and without him, we%u2019re lost. We want him back. We need him back.
