To Dennis Robertson, General Manager:
We, the undersigned, are outraged and appalled that you continue to allow Lucky Puppy to remain in the mall. It is deeply disturbing to see living creatures on display in glass windows, being sold as if they are no different from the other accessories in the store. This causes people to purchase puppies on impulse, and without the understanding that owning a pet is a major responsibility, which leads to many puppies being abandoned or surrendered to shelters, where they may be euthanized simply because there are not enough resources to care for them.
Even more troubling is the probable more direct role that Lucky Puppy plays in animal abuse and neglect by not purchasing the puppies from legitimate, ethical breeders. Employees of the store refuse to give any information about which specific breeders they use, which is vague at best and at worst an outright lie. This probable participation in supporting cruel, unethical puppy mills and deception of customers is completely unacceptable.
We will continue to refuse to give this store any business, as well as alert the public of the disturbing nature of the store. We strongly urge you to act on behalf of the innocent puppies who have no voice, and who deserve better treatment, by forcing Lucky Puppy to take their store elsewhere!

puppy mills are the culprit of all pet stores no matter what I have seen it, and I have worked in this field for over twenty years. petstores and puppy mills are married. |

Pets in animal pounds should be put on display in places where people congregate (like public transport stations). Many of those pets would escape from being euthanized. What are we waiting for? Let's attempt it! |
