Help STOP bear bile farming...

'Each day, hundreds of bears are surgically mutilated for their gall bile on bear farms' http://www.wlpa.org/bear_bile_farming.htm  
 

Despite the availability of alternative herbal and synthetic bile products, the practice of bear bile farming still continues. 

The extraction of bile from these defenceless bears is carried out by farmers with no medical qualifications. Many bears die from unsuccessful bile fistula insertion attempts and subsequent infection.  The bears are drained of their bile normally twice per day and become crazed with fear approaching these times.  During the drainage procedure the bears outwardly show further severe psychological distress and pain that often results in the bears physically injuring themselves. 

Come the end of their usefulness for bile, the bears are then mutilated live for their paws and other body parts or left to die from starvation.

Dear Ambassador,

As a concerned citizen of Australia I would like to thank the China Wildlife Conservation Association and the Sichuan Forestry Department for closing selected bear farms and releasing 500 bears into the care of Animals Asia.  Your continued efforts to promote the herbal and synthetic alternatives to bear bile are appreciated.  However Ambassador, we appeal to the Chinese government to totally end bear farming without further delays.
