We, the undersigned, are shocked and appalled at the actions of an Asheville attorney named Tony Rollman, who displayed hostility against a Pagan mother needing legal advice. She came into his office on May 14, 2009 seeking advice on how to handle a family crisis and was met with harsh discrimination because of her religious beliefs. He was given a printed off email from the ex-husband's MySpace account, blaming her shortcomings of being a bad mother based on the fact she was of the Pagan faith. Mr. Rollman immediately demanded to know if she was indeed a Wiccan. When he was asked why it mattered, Mr. Rollman threatened the mother stating: "Get the f*** out of my office while you still can!"
We, the undersigned, believe that Mr. Rollman must apologize to this mother, at the very bare minimum. His actions were uncalled for and demand that he stop discriminating against potential clients because of their beliefs, or further action shall be taken.

As a pagan, it appalls me how much is blamed on our religion. We are accused of being perverts, of being unfit parents, of devil worship (which it is not), and so much more. Please offer an apology to this woman (at the very least) and maybe look into what a pagan is - you might be surprised! |
