HSBC GRANTS AFFORDABLE PERMANENT LOAN MODIFICATIONS TO STRUGGLING HOMEOWNERS

HSBC GRANTS AFFORDABLE PERMANENT LOAN MODIFICATIONS TO STRUGGLING HOMEOWNERS

Target:
All HSBC Homeowners in the USA
Sponsored by:

This petition is is for all struggling homeowners with a mortgage with HSBC/HFC/Beneficial. This company was bailed out by the British Government and is in line for as many handouts as possible. Yet when it comes to the homeowner, whether struggling to make a payment and choosing between the mortgage or food, behind in payments, or just on the verge of homelessness, this company prefers empty houses and homeowners on the street, rather than even a single dollar in payment.
Please HSBC- please be reasonable, please work with those who want to keep their homes.

Dear HSBC,
We the undersigned urge you to grant affordable permanent loan modifications to us homeowners. We do not want to lose our homes and know a negotiation and agreement is better than homelessness and hundreds if not thousands of empty home left for you to recoup as losses. Please HSBC, be reasonable and work with us. We are following your rules but now need some flexability.
We hope that this petition will cause you to pause and rethink your strategy in retaining payments instead of empty lots. People are choosing to walk away, and this action is forcing your company to maintain great losses, but there is a solution, we all can come out of this on top. Work with us , listen to us as people, not account numbers and know that the person you might be helping could be your neighbor, your aunt, or your grandmother. Please help us.
Thank you for listening and considering our plea for relief.

As a family of four, we are also under duress from the tactics of this company that is unwilling to help out its borrowers. We are contemplating leaving the home because we will soon have no other option, yet we do not want to do this at all! May G_d have mercy on us to resolve this problem.

My husband became diabled in April and his temporary disability ended in October. We applied for Social Security Disability but have not heard yet. I have been trying to get hardship assistance from Beneficial since July. They keep giving me the run around and say they want to help but I feel they would rather see me, my disabled husband, and our two children out on the streets. They say they want to help but they really don't. A class action lawsuit needs to be filed against them for the way they treat people in need. Too many lies and bad business practices

I hope they will open their doors to struggling americans. HFC beneficial is not that beneficial at all. All they care about is their own benefit!!!!

I have been working with them for a year to make my loan modification permanent but insist on finalizing it. Late fees and interest are building up and still waiting for their decision. They have been bailed out so they need to help our struggling middle class and bail them out too... Joanna

I am so tired of HSBC. What the H? You get divorced, then lose your job, then your ex decides support payments are optional.. guess you are supposed to lose your house too. 6 months saving came and went pretty darn fast. Forgive me if the economy is rotten - you think I'm sitting back and eating bon bons! HSBC told me they couldn't help me until I was 2 months late - so I went 2 months late. My hardship app took 4 months to review. Finally I get a forebearance agreement and they said they'd keep working with me as long as I was on unemployment - keep sending in the bank statements. Guess that was 2009. Now in 2010 I have to start the hardship process all over again on top of the foreclosure process because I am 4 months late because forebearance does not do anything for delinquincy. New year, new rules I was told. Different news everytime I call and never coincides with the mountain of mail I get. Seriously... I'm gonna have a breakdown pretty soon. Can I sue HSBC for that?

My job is helping home owners stay in their homes by helping them to get modifications done on there home loans. Unfortunately for me I have HSBC as my lender on my personal loan and these people will not budge. How sad I have helped hundreds of people stay in their home and I am losing mines. HSBC customers need help we are being pushed out of our homes by a bank that does not care.

I have also been fighting with HSBC/Beneficial for some time now and everytime I call I get a different story!!! So fed up with them!! First they say we do qualify for mod then they say they need a qualifying pmt first so we do that and we are told to ask for an extension the end of Feb but when I called them yesterday the lady said our only option basically is to do a short sale!! What??? Give up what we have worked so hard for? She also informed me we are $6,000 behind and even with the modification that amt does not go away....ughhhh, so frustrating!!! She also said that they do the modification so that you can get caught up on the past due...what sense does that make? I could not afford a $2,300 pmt so how can I afford more than $1,895 now??? Is there any help out there???

HSBC's idea of helping was telling us to NOT pay our mortgage for 3 months because we are CURRENT. Then, when 3 months behind they MIGHT be able to assist with reducing our rate by 1/4%.....SERIOUSLY?

I have been fighting with HFC for almost 3 years trying to get my mortgage modified with a permanent lower interest. They have refused. We need a lender who is willing to refinance homeowners who may have faced some financial challenges but is now able to make affordable mortgage payments.

I agree to do any thing and every thing we can do to stop this non sense from HSBC. We also lost my hisband income and it has been a nightmare dealing with BENEFICIAL/HSBC. They only agreed to modify 6 months at a time each time promising an 18 month modification but never comply with it. I am outrage, stress, and just don't know where to go to get help.

I have an 8.5% on mortgage and when I did a refinance the house was worth $450000. Now the house is worth about $210000. My wife loss 30 % income and those F#@@@ will not do a modification for us. And they only do 6 month temporary reduced payments. This makes no sense. They don’t care if you foreclose on your house. The Government need to step in. call law firms and some of them said they can get a mortgage modification and others said they can’t do anything. I don’t know which way to turn.

If HSBC has decided not to partake in Obama's Make a home affordable program, then they shouldn't be allowed to issue loans to anyone in the United States. They pride themselves on not geting any kick backs from the U.S Government because they are not U.S based, yet have the most business from the U.S They can't get away with this!!!

Yes, my wife and I have been a victim of HSBC.We have experence the loss of our home due to the unfairness of being lied to and mis-imformed on our loan.Turns out the so called insurance we were suppose to have was cancelled becaused we were late on one of our payments. So when my wife got hurt with a back injury we fell behind. We ask if they could help, they said they could restructure our loan.Their idea was raising our payment. Are they crazy. So we tried to get a loan with another mortage company we kept getting denied.Come to find out the deed was nowhere to be found. We had to move out and rent. They are selling our house at a sheriffs sale.We also filled bankruptcy. If there is anyway to get back at the company that destroyed our dreams I am all for it.

I have been in dialogue with HSBC and they refused to accept my payment after entering me into a hardship program. They returned the payment twice and have now proceeded to foreclose on my home. The bank is allowed to practice unscrupulous tactics and it is disheartening that nothing is being done to stop their behavior. I lost my parents within three months of one another, my mom in October of 2008 and my dad in January of 2009. I was supplementing their care giving expenses for the past seven years due to their battle with illness. This caused my household expenses to suffer greatly. Where I am from, you tend to those who cannot help themselves due to illness in any way you can. This bank has not only refused to work with me, they will not work with organizations such as NACA that actually get results with other major mortgage lenders here in the USA. If HSBC does not comply, then the government needs to bail out its customer base here in this country.

This bank only offers 6month temporary reduced payments, they are just practicing good old fashioned greed, never care about the strugling homeoners. >80% percent of their portfolio are high risk interest loans. thinking that in 6 month your situation will changes so you can go back to keep paying for their predatory unaffordable rates has no basis in reality. If they received bailout money why they don`t DO THE RIGHT THING and offer a comprehensive solution to families in hardship. instead they are maintaining the lavish life style of thier CEOs

hfc is about as pitiful as a company can be. When i retired and my wife became unable to work. I was forced to call hfc to ask for assistance in reducing my mrtg. rate which stands at 9.75%. The concerned rep. for hfc told me "they do not help peple who make bad choices" refering to my recent rtirement. There is a definition for hfc's loan agreements"LOAN SHARKING" which is illegal.

I had to pull teeth through a real estate attorney to just get a 5 month loan modification. I paid all on time. Nothing has changed, we are still enduring the same hardship and your refusing to extend our loan modification. You are only the second so we will both loose if we go to foreclosure the house can't even be sold to pay off the first completely.

My husband and I have hired a loan modification attorney and HFC will not even respond to them. We spoke with HFC before our hardship occured and they said they couldn't do anything because we were not behind in payments, well now we are behind and they still won't do anything. HFC approved us for a temp modification but never told us. They said that we should have called, well we did and we also received a letter stating we had been denied. When I told them about the letter I was told that yes originally we were denied but if we would have called they would have told us that we were approved. What kind of secret squirrel crap are they trying to pull??? Please help!

We are a couple in Florida that have both gone through downsizing with our employers. Our income has dropped by more than 50% but are working full-time. For 2 years we have requested a modification plan from HSBC and they refuse to approve. Did approve 6 month hardship program but that will run out and we cannot pay our mortage. Where can we get help?

Homeowners whose loans are not affiliated with FannieMae or FreddieMac, and whose servicers have opted not to join the Making Homes Affordable initiative are at a severe disadvantage in today's mortgage crisis. All Americans should have the same opportunity to save their homes. We did not choose our loan servicers, they chose us in this happenstance lottery. Should this "luck of the draw" determine our fate and render us homeless? We need your help NOW, before it is too late.
# 115:
2:39 pm PST, Nov 3, Kim Babbitt, Michigan
We were not given the choice of HSBC Mortgage Services controlling our loan, it was sold to them by Ameriquest. Had a more reputable servicer purchased the loan, we could be part of the Making Homes Affordable program. HSBC admitted that it is losing 14% of the value of each home upon which it forecloses. Modifying the interest rate to today's nationally advertised rates would be the obvious, and more profitable choice. Joining Obama's program would also save HSBC money versus foreclosure. Are the decision makers imbeciles? Are the stock holders asleep? They are offering temporary modifications of the interest rate in the hope that the housing industry will recover, and the homes will increase in value adequately to cover the mortgage when they do forclose. Everyone needs to blog as much as possible, and warn potential HSBC clients and the American consumer to boycott this unscrupulous corporation. CONSUMERS UNITED CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Also, write your senators and congressmen, give HSBC a black eye on the Hill.

HSBC is our loan provider. After applying for the hope for homeowners programs and given a trial period, we were denied by HSBC due to loan to value. Every home in California has lots its value. My home has lost 100,000 in value. HSBC will short sale my home and loose over 100,000, but they would rather do that than work with the homeowners. And supposedly HSBC is part of the hope for homeowners program. Hope for homeowners does not work! Where is there justice!
