HSBC GRANTS AFFORDABLE PERMANENT LOAN MODIFICATIONS TO STRUGGLING HOMEOWNERS

HSBC GRANTS AFFORDABLE PERMANENT LOAN MODIFICATIONS TO STRUGGLING HOMEOWNERS

Target:
All HSBC Homeowners in the USA
Sponsored by:

This petition is is for all struggling homeowners with a mortgage with HSBC/HFC/Beneficial. This company was bailed out by the British Government and is in line for as many handouts as possible. Yet when it comes to the homeowner, whether struggling to make a payment and choosing between the mortgage or food, behind in payments, or just on the verge of homelessness, this company prefers empty houses and homeowners on the street, rather than even a single dollar in payment.
Please HSBC- please be reasonable, please work with those who want to keep their homes.

Dear HSBC,
We the undersigned urge you to grant affordable permanent loan modifications to us homeowners. We do not want to lose our homes and know a negotiation and agreement is better than homelessness and hundreds if not thousands of empty home left for you to recoup as losses. Please HSBC, be reasonable and work with us. We are following your rules but now need some flexability.
We hope that this petition will cause you to pause and rethink your strategy in retaining payments instead of empty lots. People are choosing to walk away, and this action is forcing your company to maintain great losses, but there is a solution, we all can come out of this on top. Work with us , listen to us as people, not account numbers and know that the person you might be helping could be your neighbor, your aunt, or your grandmother. Please help us.
Thank you for listening and considering our plea for relief.

hfc is about as pitiful as a company can be. When i retired and my wife became unable to work. I was forced to call hfc to ask for assistance in reducing my mrtg. rate which stands at 9.75%. The concerned rep. for hfc told me "they do not help peple who make bad choices" refering to my recent rtirement. There is a definition for hfc's loan agreements"LOAN SHARKING" which is illegal.

I had to pull teeth through a real estate attorney to just get a 5 month loan modification. I paid all on time. Nothing has changed, we are still enduring the same hardship and your refusing to extend our loan modification. You are only the second so we will both loose if we go to foreclosure the house can't even be sold to pay off the first completely.

My husband and I have hired a loan modification attorney and HFC will not even respond to them. We spoke with HFC before our hardship occured and they said they couldn't do anything because we were not behind in payments, well now we are behind and they still won't do anything. HFC approved us for a temp modification but never told us. They said that we should have called, well we did and we also received a letter stating we had been denied. When I told them about the letter I was told that yes originally we were denied but if we would have called they would have told us that we were approved. What kind of secret squirrel crap are they trying to pull??? Please help!

We are a couple in Florida that have both gone through downsizing with our employers. Our income has dropped by more than 50% but are working full-time. For 2 years we have requested a modification plan from HSBC and they refuse to approve. Did approve 6 month hardship program but that will run out and we cannot pay our mortage. Where can we get help?

Homeowners whose loans are not affiliated with FannieMae or FreddieMac, and whose servicers have opted not to join the Making Homes Affordable initiative are at a severe disadvantage in today's mortgage crisis. All Americans should have the same opportunity to save their homes. We did not choose our loan servicers, they chose us in this happenstance lottery. Should this "luck of the draw" determine our fate and render us homeless? We need your help NOW, before it is too late.
# 115:
2:39 pm PST, Nov 3, Kim Babbitt, Michigan
We were not given the choice of HSBC Mortgage Services controlling our loan, it was sold to them by Ameriquest. Had a more reputable servicer purchased the loan, we could be part of the Making Homes Affordable program. HSBC admitted that it is losing 14% of the value of each home upon which it forecloses. Modifying the interest rate to today's nationally advertised rates would be the obvious, and more profitable choice. Joining Obama's program would also save HSBC money versus foreclosure. Are the decision makers imbeciles? Are the stock holders asleep? They are offering temporary modifications of the interest rate in the hope that the housing industry will recover, and the homes will increase in value adequately to cover the mortgage when they do forclose. Everyone needs to blog as much as possible, and warn potential HSBC clients and the American consumer to boycott this unscrupulous corporation. CONSUMERS UNITED CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Also, write your senators and congressmen, give HSBC a black eye on the Hill.

HSBC is our loan provider. After applying for the hope for homeowners programs and given a trial period, we were denied by HSBC due to loan to value. Every home in California has lots its value. My home has lost 100,000 in value. HSBC will short sale my home and loose over 100,000, but they would rather do that than work with the homeowners. And supposedly HSBC is part of the hope for homeowners program. Hope for homeowners does not work! Where is there justice!

I have a 2nd mortgage with HFC, have never been late, and don't intend to be. However, I will never forget how HSBC opted to turn their backs on their customers, the very people who keep you in business, when they needed you the most. I'm sure that I'm not alone in this sentiment. Once I'm finished with paying off my second, and HSBC credit cards, I'll be done with your company.

I have recently lost one of my jobs, lost other income, and my mortgage, insurance and taxes equals more than half my take home income. My interest rate is over 8 percent. I want to keep my home for my son. We keep getting our utlities shut off now. It is getting bad.

We have been trying to get HSBC to modify our loan since March. To date, we have been giving the run around. We are also fed up. We are not quite 30 days late on our payments, however it is coming. We have sent in the same paperwork over and over again, they will not move on this.
# 91:

agreed , i have never been late on a payment . yet they will not refinance my loan because my home value is too close to the 80% . so i have the money, the score and the house but they cannot restructure my loan ....ridiculous , they would rather it be empty then simply lower the interest .
# 90:
7:39 am PDT, Sep 9, Cathy Brayboy, Connecticut
I do not why HSBC can't lock in the modification rate anf lower the payments. The customer service sucks they read off a transcript line and nobody knows nothing. It is very frustrating becuae this is serious business a roof you have invested over your head.

I used Beneficial for a 2nd mortgage. My first mortgage company GMAC did a loan modification for me which turned out wonderful. Too bad Beneficial is SO DIFFICULT to work with. I pray they come to their senses soon before it is too late.

HSBC (HFC) It should be in your interest to keep a loan with all of us borrowers rather then to have our homes forclose on us, due to our hardship. A 6 month fix then back to normal is not good enough to fix any issues. Some of our issues are do to much more then a loss of job some are due to our homes worth less then we owe so we can not do anything but sit her and hope in the future that the market will go back up.
# 86:
8:23 am PDT, Aug 6, Name not displayed, Georgia
I feel that it saves HSBC more money to modify a loan than to foreclose on a home. I truly hope that they join in to help the many struggling homeowners get better and permanent loan terms.
# 85:

My husband lost his job in July of 2008 and we applied for the temporary loan modification twice and were denied each time even after the birth of our son. They state they do not count any credit card debt or car payments. They assume we will stop paying our credit cards and car payments before we stop payment on our home which is ridiculous because I also have a side loan with them. So basically I have to stop paying them in order to get approved for modification on another loan and mess up my credit so they can skyrocket the interest on my side loan??? This has to be illegal...can't the government step in???

I contacted HSBC along with NACA organization (www.naca.com) to work on a modification since March. They have not responded to NACA's workout solution and I will be 3 months behind next month. They are the worst bank when it comes to loan modifications!!!

Countrywide, Chase, and most other large mortgage banks are participating in the Home Affordable Modification Plan. Your customers expect the same treatment as the customers of these other lenders. HSBC and many other banks have received Goverment bailout funds. It is only fair for the consumer to share in the bailout, especially the homeowners who want to stay current on thier loans and need the modification to help them through this tough time. Please participate in the Home Affordable Plan and provide the same level of service to you customers as companies like Chase and Countrywide.

I have a second mortgage with HFC at 19% !!! Even with the second, my home is only mortgaged at about 75% of it's current value, but I can't get HFC to help lower my interest rate. I found out that I should have been charged more like 10%. And I paid $3000 in points. This second mortgage is also dragging my credit score way down because it's a revolving loan. HFC told me this was the best way to go and would actually help my credit score!! They are liars and they took advantage of me, a single mom, in an emergency situation where I needed cash fast.

I have been laid off from my teaching position for the past 11 months. HSBC is the WORST bank I have every dealt with. We too have tried to refinance our loan. They are insulting and condescending, they don't communicate with one another, so every time a different representative calls you, you have to explain your situation again. We have had a mortgage for twelve years, yet when HSBC bought our mortgage almost 2 years ago, they didn't include our property taxes or homeowner's insurance. I can't pay these additional expenses. I also had a variable rate, and they locked us in without our consent at an 8% interest rate. My husband and I are living on $2000 less a month, yet the rep from HSBC tells me to buy less food for my family and cut back. I wish our government would wake up and STOP giving these good for nothing banks money to survive. What about the people of this country....we did not cause this problem, yet we are constantly victimized by this system.

We were lied to on numerous occasions my Beneficial representatives and have paid well over $50k in interest for 2008, only to be treated with total disrespect by Beneficial/HSBC reps while trying to have an interest (which is excessivley high) reduction due to salary decreases. It has been well over 3 months, and we are still struggling with no assistance whatsoever!

I have been trying to get something done with this company, we are selk-employed, my husband drives semi-truck, and I have a medical conditon. I sent in all the paperwork they required, only to be told we didn't qualify for thier programs, they have humiliated me on the phone telling me to sell my home or surrender it, they have no intentions of working with the struggleing homeowner, although our income has fallen $4500.00 per month, they say we don't qualify because of our income. something needs to be done about this shoddy company!!!!!

HSBC has made billions from struggling homeowners. In these dire times it is imperative that they give something back to the people that made them get rich. High interest rates, predatory lending, shoddy customer service practices, all add up to bad corporate citizenship. I am going to spread the word to everying I know to avoid all HSBC and its affiliates like the plague until HSBC comes to the table to offer more than small potatoes to helpless homeowners.

we have been on the 6-month hardships twice now and now we want it to be permanment and they do not want that!my husband's salary has decreased and we need our new payment to be based on his base salary-all they want to do is the 6-month thing-but his salary decrease is permanment! They would rather you go into foreclosure than to deal with you!

HSBC is only willing tto put a temporary band-aid on a gaping wound. A 6-mo modification that still keeps the payment over 50% of my monthly income is not going to help. It is delaying the inevidible.
