Will County, Illinois' Forest Preserve officials have recommended a massive culling of native deer herds because of deer overpopulation. In an area that could sustain 20 deer per square mile the deer are at levels over 150 per square mile.
They are trying to figure out if we the people of Will county would like to pay for sharp shooters or allow Hunters to accomplish the task at no cost to the County. I would like to see not only how many hunters would be interested but also how many Will County residents are willing to spend tax dollars to accomplish this task.
We the undersigned would not like to pay sharpshooters out of the Will county budget to reduce the number of deer in the forest preserve. We stand together as residents and hunters to inform the county that we stand ready to accomplish this task at no cost to the county.
Thank you for your consideration
