In January of 2007, the Idaho Governor made a law allowing hunters to kill all but 100 wolves, or about 10 packs. Otter also made Thursday "Idaho Sportsmen Day". Butch also announced that he is in favor and supporting the Idaho Anti-Wolf Coalition. The wolves are already rapidly dropping, only about 200,000 species left in the world. Do we really need some anti-wolf moron to make it worse? Sign a petition to stop wolf hunting in Alaska and put a hault to C.L. Otter's reign of terror.

Dear Butch,
Stop the senseless killing. There is absolutely no reason as to why you should decrease the population of wolves. Don't even go on about hunting, either. Hunting for game is wrong.
We signed the "Stop Wolf Shooting in Idaho!" petition!

I cannot imagine a world without wolves. We cannot let them become extinct. This is a form of genocide and I will give my life proudly to see to it that even one of these magnificent creatures is saved. Wolves are a blessing from god to be cherished, and a symbol of love and care that can easily compare to a human mother and her child. This bond cannot continue to be broken by humans. I vowed to dedicate my life to protect wolves and I WILL STOP AT NOTHING to save them. And that is a respect that will never fade. I made them a promise and i will not die, a liar, to them!

I am always outraged when the govt. sanctions the killing of these beautiful and highly social animals. We have encroached on their habitat for centuries and have brought them to the brink of extiction. In this age of greed let us step back and consider the other members of creation rather than the almighty dollar. Please stop the killing and lets coexist.

Man is not and has never been an efficient SOLE predator because when we hunt we do not go after the sick, old, weak and young. We go after the biggest healthiest herd animals with the biggest rack to mount on are walls. For the most part Wolves will take down the prey animals that expel the least amount of effort and also the pray that is the least dangerous to the wolf, it is called survival. Yes wolf do take farm animals from time to time. Wolves do not know they are farm animals they just see an easy meal. There has been PROVEN NON VIOLENT WAYS to protect farm animals and live stock and to DETOUR wolves away from homesteads, it takes more effort on the part of the farmers and/or ranchers, but it can be done. At this time in Earths history there is so much more at stake then wolves taking farm animals and live stock. I know that some wolves if they get to comfortable around humans may have to be shot or relocated. A man in Butch Otter position can either read the facts and help people to understand the important role that wolves play in are environment or you can feed the public misinformed untruths that will continually fuel the Little Red Riding Hood Stories of are youth.
Posted on www.organicconsumers.org and numerous other web sites there is updated information about the Mad Cow disease and Chronic Wasting Disease that has infected Deer, Elk and also now Moose. So if you have eliminated or reduced the wolves to an inefficient level and let the public hunt and eat these infected animals they may contract the disease.READ THE FACTS! WORK WITH THE WILDLIFE GROUPS! Communicate with U.S Fish and Wildlife! LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE! Then putting your fears aside and after making an EDUCATED decision THEN you inform and educate the people of this great Country.
I THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME and please think about what I have written; wolves are a very important part of the environment will need to continuely be protected.

Wolves originated in North America, then migrated to Asia via ice bridge though Alaska, and were first domesticated to become dogs in Asia (chow and husky breeds), and later in Far East, Africa and Europe.
Wolves are thought to be the first animals to become domesticated (dogs) by man, and most likely helped primative man to hunt, be safer and warmer (sleep with for warmth) and aided man to become more advanced and eventually civilized.
We therefore should be obliged to preserve their existance in honor of their aid to our survival and development as a civilized race. Moreover, modern wolves, shun people so do not pose a direct threat to people or children.
The Yellowstone Park experience with wolves has proved that since they were introduced they prevented the herds there from over-grazing on the land allowing for grasess and brushes to re-establish themselves. They also cull heards by preying on the sick and old, thus improving the genetic strenght of herds. They prey on coyotes, rabbit and mice as well and help keep their population in check. The coyote population has been noted to be increasing, in the absence of wolves.
There are proven methods that allow farmers and ranchers to keep wolves well away from livestock, that can be easily implemented, thus resolving their fears about re-introducing wolves.
Most importantly we need to stop the random killing of wolves, that include the alpha wolves of the pack, which weakens their genetic pool and may cause their extinction!
If we, who have benefitted so much from our partners in survival, the wolf, cannot protect them from extinction, then we are probably in line ourselves for extinction, since we no longer know how to preserve our environment to sustain our lives. Nature must maintain a balance which only comes from the protection of all species, since all plant and animal species on earth play a role in the balance of nature that sustains our lives. If we fail to protect our ecosystems, it is only a mater of time before we as a species and race cease to exist. Let's start using all that we have learned to protect our environment in total and ourselves, for our children and future generations, from now on!

This is the biggest cruelties to animals that is making mother nature fierce. She really has her eye on this one. Hunting and cruelty on animals must stop. Animals are a part of mother nature and she is getting very angry with people hurting and destroying her beloved animals, earth and environment. She is soon to whip her tail with full blown whips, and that is something I can guarantee that you don't want to experience. Nobody has ever began to experience her full blown whips, only her small whips. And she is now preparing to whip her tail with numerous full blown whips! Once mother nature whips her tail, there is no stopping her, regardless of who you are. The days are growing shorter, and so is her fiery. Therefore, keep on making her angry and I promise you, you will regret it. You have been warned.

Ranchers crying "wolf" about their cattle are a truly arrogant group. Here they are running their herds on public land, for which they pay almost nothing, complaining about the mere existence of some of the original residents of the land. Wolves were there tens of thousands of years before the johnny-come-lately ranchers. The world would be a lot healthier if there were fewer ranchers and more wolves.
