Who would want to kill these?

Stop Wolf Shooting in Idaho!

Target:
Idaho Governor, C.L. "Butch" Otter
Sponsored by:
In January of 2007, the Idaho Governor made a law allowing hunters to kill all but 100 wolves, or about 10 packs. Otter also made Thursday "Idaho Sportsmen Day". Butch also announced that he is in favor and supporting the Idaho Anti-Wolf Coalition.  The wolves are already rapidly dropping, only about 200,000 species left in the world. Do we really need some anti-wolf moron to make it worse? Sign a petition to stop wolf hunting in Alaska and put a hault to C.L. Otter's reign of terror.

Dear Butch,

Stop the senseless killing. There is absolutely no reason as to why you should decrease the population of wolves. Don't even go on about hunting, either. Hunting for game is wrong.

Hi, I have a pet wolf. They are the most intelligent and soulfull creatures. She's been to many schools where the kids have just loved her. Man must learn to co-exist on this planet. Long live the wolves! Carl

We've learned about wolves for the past 20 years, particularly those in the Pacific NW. They are a key part of the ecosystem and valuable to its balance and health. Please protect the wolves. There are many effective programs in progress to benefit ranchers when a rare kill happens to livestock.

Wolves are the embodiment of values we cherish, such as trust, friendship, loyalty, devotion, and family. Each wolf family, or pack, has a highly complex and intelligent social structure much like ours. Wolves love and mourn their relatives in ways we humans can appreciate and understand. Allowing people to openly hunt them for sport, killing members of a family or entire packs, is cruel and in every sense of the word: inhumane. We hunted wolves to near extinction once before, only to bring them back from the brink at tremendous cost to all. We must stop killing these animals before history repeats itself again.

As an avid outdoors person I spend time in Idaho enjoying your beautiful state. I ask that you not allow the shooting of wolves as they are an integral part of our ecosystem. I will look forward to visiting Idaho again when you halt the order that allows for the mass killing of wolves. Thank you, Carla Friedli, Ph.D.
