We the undersigned agree that, due to an overwhelming lack of competence, dereliction of duty, and failure to act on behalf of the American public, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) should be removed from her role a Speaker and dismissed from her post as Representative of the 8th District of the great state of California.

With the Speakers stated position not to allow a vote on the floor of the United States House of Representatives which would address energy reform and offshore drilling while we are in the midst of rising fuel costs and a 70% dependence on foreign oil, Nancy Pelosi has demonstrated a complete unwillingness to act as the people's agent. Instead, she has stubbornly opted to stand on ideology and partisan politics instead of heeding the will of the American people.

Polling reliably indicates that an overwhelming majority of Americans are calling on Congress to act. Speaker Pelosi's continued defiance and unwillingness to facilitate a mandated function of her position places her in direct violation of the duties granted to her by the people of the United States. Therefore it is our duty, indeed the duty of every American, to petition for her removal from her position as Speaker, and from her office as an elected Representative..
