Inhumane Treatment of Cats in Korea

In both North and South Korea, cats are not treated as loving pets, but as disease-carrying beasts that bring bad luck. They treat them terribly, torturing and starving cats in tiny cages without food or water.

The cats all meet the same fate- death. They are used as food, and are treated terribly.

Services- like vet care for cats- are rare in Korea, so the people who do own cats cannot properly care for them.

Cats are considered vermin and they have tried to cut down the cat population in terrible ways, such as beating cats to death in sacks or burning them alive!

We need to educate the public of Korea about cats and encourage owning cats as pets, as well as encourage services dedicated to cats, such as vet care. We need to stop the cruel treatment of cats in Korea!
We the undersigned believe that you need to realize that cats are not terrible creatures as you think, and that if you want to cut down on the stray cat populations, you need to do it in a humane way, and make sure there are vet services to those who do decide to own cats. Cats are living creatures, and can feel pain and have personalities of their own and deserve better! Any cats to be used for food should be fed, watered, and cared for, and they should be killed in a humane way that doesn't involve pain.
