Many Egg customers are very angry at being labelled a 'risky customer', when in fact this is NOT the case.
These customers have paid on time, the balance in full, never missed or had a late payment, and have good credit ratings.
There is a belief that these customers targeted by US firm Citigroup who took over Egg from Prudential in May 2007, are in fact unprofitable for the company.
We are customers that the bank no longer want to lend to regardless of status...an Egg Spokesperson said in a statement to the BBC.
