Apple, give us the iPod Touch update for free!

Today at the MacWorld San Francisco 2008 Expo, Apple Inc. released the information that existing iPod Touch owners will have to pay an extra $19.99 (£12.99) for an upgrade that features 5 new applications (Mail, Stocks, Notes, Weather and Maps.)  These applications should have came with the iPod Touch to start with, just like the iPhone, and it seems unfair that an extra payment should be made on top of the expensive hardware fee.

Sign the petition and tell Apple what you really think of this!

We have seen/heard that during the MacWorld San Francisco 2008 Keynotes, iPod Touch customers were told that they would have to pay an extra fee for the update that allows 5 extra applications.  The iPhone already had these applications installed, so why not the iPod Touch as well?  We believe that it isn't fair that existing customers of Apple should have to pay this price as well as previously buying the unit, when new customers will not, and when the applications should have already been installed.

Please take this into consideration, and allow current iPod Touch owners to be able to update for free.
