IT'S THE RACE OF THE RISING GAS PRICES IN CONNECTICUT

Target:
Anyone in CT that is tired of seeing the gas prices rise in CT!!!
Sponsored by:

The purpose for this petition is to not purchase gas for a week in August and to urge Gov. Jodi Rell for a Gas Price Cap.

Have you visited the pump lately? I'm sure you have. It seems like every day the prices are changing.  Not being lowered but going up.  The gas and oil industry is the only industry that profits over 40 billion dollars a year. Now who really needs to profit that much? While they profit we suffer, everyday we cringe looking at how the gas prices keep rising, and how $20.00 that used to maybe fill our gas tanks or at least gives us a half tank of gas now doesn't even give us a quarter tank of gas in some car and trucks. & what can we need to need gas to get to and from work take or kids to school & these prices will continue to rise. By the summer time prices will most likely hit $4.50 a gallon or more. And we will not see a relief in these prices until the Bush administration is done milking this oil cow & is out of office & the war is Iraq is over. Let's say NO MORE RISING GAS COST IN CONNECTICUT!!! And let Start now.

I know you have all read about not purchasing gas from Mobile and Exxon for a day out the month but really what is that going to do for a company that is making $40 billion dollars in profit?  How about if we can make it a week?  By signing this petition you will be committing to NOT PURCHASING GAS August 24th thru the 30th.  If you can't commit to a whole week even 3 days will make a difference.

Also this petition is to urge Gov. Jodi Rell to push for a Gas price Cap for Connecticut, otherwise people that have signed up for this petition will not purchase gas during the week of August 24th-30th. Again who needs to make $40 billion dollar is profits? With a price CAP we are letting this gas and oil industry know that you can charge but you can't charge this ridiculous amount. Please sign and forward to everyone you know that would like to be a part of this. You might be think this is not going to work but how do we know unless we try.

Once it gets closer to our NOT PURCHASING GAS week I will send out a reminder to everyone that provided me an email address and will send an email with all signatures to the Governors office informing and urging for this Gas Cap.

EVERYONE IS URGED TO SIGN THIS PETITION BUT ESPECIALLY THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN CONNECTICUT BECAUSE I WILL BE FORWARDING THIS PETITION TO THE GOV. JODI RELL!

WE NEED RELIEF AT THE PUMP ASAP!!! SHOW YOU COMMITMENT FOR THE CAUSE AND SIGN UP TO NOT PURCHASE GAS FOR A WEEK IN AUGUST!

PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

Thank you for your time,

~E

I cannot believe the cost of gas in Connecticut. I drive a motorcycle and it costs me 30 dollars + a week just to drive to and from work. I havent taken my car out in weeks. Im scared to see what itll cost me to fill that up. What do I have to do.... quit my job because I cant afford gas? I already quit smoking cigarettes because there 6 dollars a pack. I thought there were benefits of living in connecticut. Its the tax me to death state.Thats about it. Gov. Rell better do something about it, or alot of people are gonna move out of this wonderful state and bring our revenue with us. Im sure Kansas could use our money. Lets vote for a new governor if she cant do anything about it.How much does Rell pay for gas? I bet NOTHING! Us suckers are paying for it with our taxes. Do your job Rell and make connecticut a better place to live. Pissed off in the housatonic valley!

The gas prices are eating away paying for other bills. If we are going to raise prices for everything then we better raise the cost of living and pump up our wages just to afford gas to get to work.
