We the undersigned hereby declare our resolve to be there in Japan's time of need; to make our vast territory available to those Japanese people whom tragedy has befallen in the form of cataclysmic events; to lead the way in providing refuge to those human beings uprooted and evacuated from their land and from their homes.
The Japanese are a resourceful, hardworking, loyal and cooperative people.
Thousands of these noble people would only benefit Canada.
Before long, millions of Japanese may become desperately ill with radiation sickness.
Canadians will not stand by and watch while the Japanese are in serious need of help.
Canada is a vast and diverse land of good hearted, honorable people and our nation can prosper with more such as the Japanese.
Now is our chance to prove what a free people can do when we put their hearts and minds to it!
A Canada of many voices and one heart by this petition hereby declares that Japan's bereft evacuees will find safe harbor, and in time a sense of home, in our nation of Canada.
