I would like to ask every one to imagine going to pick up your child from day care, only to find out that she is not right, rushing to the hospital to be told many things are yet to come. Her Family by her side watching her head swell, new bruising appearing by the minute, and yet almost 3 years later her family is still fighting for justice. This innocent little baby was harmed by the very people paid to take care of her.

Her name is Gabrielle. She has been forced to start a life long battle. In July 2006,she attended a daycare center in Cape Giradeau, Mo. While being there she was attacked by an individual. At 6 months old, Gabby was left with permanent life threatening injuries.

Only an adult could cause such force upon this innocent little child. She had a starburst fracture in her skull & was hanging on for her dear life while more bruising appeared as the day went on. Along by her side was her savior, Grandma Treasa & all her family. Gabby went through 6 surgeries trying to fight to stay alive. She fought hard and pulled through all of those battles.
Yet, the individual that has caused her & her family all of this pain & suffering has not been brought to justice.
As of this present day 2008, Gabby is faced once again to fight for her life. Gabby is experiencing tremendous seizure activity in her brain. The meds that she is currently on are not working and the doctor's are concerned about Grand Mal seizures. She is now on stronger meds & will be monitored 24/7 She may have to be admitted for observation once again in St.Louis. Her doctor's have stated that brain injuries are very unpredictable.
So why in the world isn't this sick person in jail at least! Why is he out on the streets doing as he pleases while Gabby & family are suffering through this awful time someone has placed upon them. They didn't ask for this. He choose to harm & hurt her. He should be brought to justice!
At only 3 years old she is on her fourth brain surgery and now the family is being told that because a doctor failed to pin point an exact time that this occured there is no way to convict.
I say there must be a way. There must be some thing that can be done. Please if we stand as one voice, we can make a big difference for this innocent child who was assulted, and because she had no voice of her own they will walk.
Please join me in urging the District attorney to stand up on her behalf and help to do exactly all that is neccesary to bring this person to justice, for the sake of the family and all the children who suffer unwillingly at the hands meant to care for them.
Time will run out faster then we think. We must act quickly.

We the undersighned,
Would like to adress the lack of attention in the case concerning young Gabrielle (last name withheld) day care abuse case. We feel that this really deserves more attention and concentration. We must find justice for this young girl and her family, we must stand against the guilty and let them know we will not be silenced because her voice could not be heard! We are uniting to speak on behalf of all that is being ignored and letting this child suffer with out justice. If you could please take a closer look at this case, rexamine the evidence and attempt to bring the accused to justice. We would greatly appreciate it.

I feel sick, just looking at this poor baby. As a logical person, I cannot fathom, how a human being could do such a horrendous thing to an innocent baby. I wonder if there has been other babies(the ones who can't talk) that have been hurt,or the parents were suspicious of something happened to their child? Not necessarily as drastic as poor Gabby. I pray due justice will prevail, if not here on earth, but in the heavenly kingdom. Child abuse will not be tolerated anywhere around the globe!! I offer my prayers to this sweet little girl,Gabby and her parents.

I do not have to read the petition to know that this is something I need to sign and endorse - there is no excuse for child abuse of any kind to any child in any world of ours! When is enough, really enough? How many kids have to be abused or murdered before something drastic is done. Every day theres another child in the news who has been abused, murdered or "go Missing". I think it is way past time for something to be done. No liitle child should ever have to hurt. Let's start locking up these monsters for good. They have no place in society.

I honestly don't know what I would do if that was my child. It shouldn't happen to anyones child. I cant say it enough...Lock up and throw away the keys, to any monster who abuses children. How many more kids have to suffer??????? Its pure evil. By letting those monsters stay on the street, is like laughing in the faces of those little kids. Sick!

There needs to be more investigation of the care this child received at the hands of adults in charge at the care center! At the very least if this child was left unattended by an adult for this type of injury to take place then the adult in question needs to be held accountable without question!

I have worked in the daycare industry, some are very good with workers who are wonderful, others I wouldn't go back to after the first day of working there. I was fortunated enough to stay home with my children & cared for others, so my children wouldn't have to endure being exposed to people like this. Personal references from people you know are the best way to judge a childcare workers reputation, as well as stopping by unexpectedly every now & then to just observe how the children are treated. It's a scary world out there! Best wishes. J

God bless this child and I pray the DA and the abuser have a long heart to heart talk with thier father in heaven. This is horrid and heart breaking and ti know justice is not being done in this case makes it MORE heart breaking. We all have to answer one day. May the power of the LORD himself and our father in heaven make all things right in this case for this preciouus baby. Praying for a miracle.

I see this baby and can only imagine the sorrow and pain this family feels. May god heal them and this baby, and the criminal be charged to the max. For god sake this is just a baby!

This DA should lose his/her job since they are not doing thier job! Isn't the DA's job to help protect the innocent? This DA is no better than the abuser!

I have gone through a lot to make sure my child has never been in day care becuase of stories like this! Children should be safe and parents should not have to be scared to work and put their children in daycare! This person should not be allowed to be near children again! I hope this poor child gets better finally!
