This petition is to help get attention on the need for justice in the death of 22 year-old Katlyn Long. Katlyn's death is still being listed as "under suspicious circumstances" with her ex-boyfriend being the "person of interest." There are many facts that can not be released at this time because there is an active investigation. However, Katlyn's life ended on May 29, 2008, and those that want to see justice done, who know the facts of the case, are getting very concerned that there may never be Justice for Katlyn. This petition will be given to the District Attorney's office of Mendocino County, CA. We want to show them that there are lot of citizens that will not rest until justice is served, and who will be watching this case. Katlyn was a lover of life, who had a pure, kind, bright spirit. Those of you who know about domestic violence, know that it is when the abused person leaves the reltionship that the violence escalates. Please pass this petition on to everyone you know, and ask them to do the same, so we can tell the District Attorney's office that many, many eyes are watching what they do with this case. Justice for Katlyn!

We the undersigned are urging your office to actively pursue the prosecution of the person that brought about the death of Katlyn Long, of Fort Bragg, CA. From what we know there is enough evidence to make an arrest, and we request that your office get involved to push the investigation forward.
Katlyn Long died on May 29, 2008, while in the company of her ex-boyfriend. Her death is still listed as "suspicious" and her ex-boyfriend is the "person of interest."
We the people seek justice for Katlyn. We want the guilty party prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and dealt the maximum sentence.
Thank you for your prompt attention and determination in seeking justice for Katlyn.

It's way past time for justice!!! This family has suffered enough. It sounds like a cover up to protect the killer....it's a disgrace and a travesty. Please put her killer in jail for life and give this family some closure.

Dear Meredith Lintott, D.A.-Katlyn's death was suspicious, and an investigation needs to be done. It is a travesty that the suspect has not been thoroughly interrogated at this point, almost 2 years after her death.

How many women have to die at the hands of abusive boyfriends and husbands before Mendocino County will start prosecuting them? According to your own press release you have means, motive and opportunity so what are you waiting for? http://www.mendocinosheriff.com/press/view.cgi?1234989

this is just unfair! this poor girl had her life ended, i can't even believe how many people get lives cut short, when all they do is meet the wrong people. if you care about this poor girl, let her receive as much respect as you writing your name, seriously it takes seconds, and she might just get the justice she deserves!

Letting just one instance of domestic violence that results in death send the message the authorities don't care, and the scum responsible can get off scot free.
This need never, nor should it remain the case.
This heinous act needs to be punished swiftly, and severely.
