Katlyn Long

Justice for Katlyn!

Target:
all citizens who care about justice and anyone in an abusive relationship
This petition is to help get attention on the need for justice in the death of 22 year-old Katlyn Long.  Katlyn's death is still being listed as "under suspicious circumstances" with her ex-boyfriend being the "person of interest." There are many facts that can not be released at this time because there is an active investigation.  However, Katlyn's life ended on May 29, 2008, and those that want to see justice done, who know the facts of the case, are getting very concerned that there may never be Justice for Katlyn.  This petition will be given to the District Attorney's office of Mendocino County, CA.  We want to show them that there are lot of citizens that will not rest until justice is served, and who will be watching this case.  Katlyn was a lover of life, who had a pure, kind, bright spirit.  Those of you who know about domestic violence, know that it is when the abused person leaves the reltionship that the violence escalates.  Please pass this petition on to everyone you know, and ask them to do the same, so we can tell the District Attorney's office that many, many eyes are watching what they do with this case.  Justice for Katlyn!

We the undersigned are urging your office to actively pursue the prosecution of the person that brought about the death of Katlyn Long, of Fort Bragg, CA.  From what we know there is enough evidence to make an arrest, and we request that your office get involved to push the investigation forward.

Katlyn Long died on May 29, 2008, while in the company of her ex-boyfriend. Her death is still listed as "suspicious" and her ex-boyfriend is the "person of interest."

We the people seek justice for Katlyn.  We want the guilty party prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and dealt the maximum sentence.

Thank you for your prompt attention and determination in seeking justice for Katlyn.

Katlyn Long was my very good friend, we shared lots of stories together and horse rides on the beach and horses. I can't say what I want to say about the P.O.S. that did this to her but I just want justice for Katlyn! All my love is with the Long Family. For the Family of the one who did this... F*ck you, and you know who you are...

Please help this family, and make this young man step up to the plate and become responsible for his actions. He has taken the life a very beautiful young woman and she will be forever missed by her family and friends. Nobody should have to endure this type of pain because of another spoiled and selfish human being thought he had the right to violate another innocent person. Do the right thing.

What a sad and waste of a beautiful life. When are we going to start early teaching children that violence is not the answer to solving problems with others no matter who they are. What use to be innocent playfulness has turned into copying the violence that children are exposed to daily on TV and in the news. Stop the Madness!!!

I met Katlyn when worked at Howarth Park back when I was still in Junior High. It breaks my heart that she is not with us today experiencing all of the wonderful things life has to offer now that we are old enough to really appreciate them as adults. I hope that justice can be found for her and her family.

I think that a fair hearing should take place to look at evidence to possibly convict in this horrible crime.

Katie was obviously a victim of domestic violence. Anybody can see it if you just read the facts. Her killer is walking free and Katie lost her life. Stop this killer from doing this to other sweet, innocent girls.

This is totally incredible! I have a son who is a police officer, a daughter in law that is a probation officer, and my other son works at the court house. I hear a lot of stories, but this is the most bizarre situation i have ever heard. What the heck is going on?????

Every life has value, and it is the worst injustice to have a young life taken too soon as Katlyn's was. The antidote to injustice is justice. Please help to bring justice to Katlyn soon.
