KEEP ARKANSAS' REGULATED PAYDAY LENDERS!!!

Target:
ARKANSAS ATTORNEY GENERAL DUSTIN MCDANIEL & CONSTITUENTS
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF ARKANSAS WANTS TO PUT AN END TO IT'S REGULATED/LEGAL PAYDAY LENDERS (ONLY THE ARKANSAS REGULATED ONES)!! THERE ARE 35 STATES THAT HAVE LEGALIZED THE PAYDAY LENDING INDUSTRY AND ARKANSAS HAS A WRITTEN AND SUPERVISED LAW THAT IS ONE OF THE MOST SAFE, AND LEAST COSTLY FOR THE CONSUMER. BUT THE AG THINKS BY DEMOLISHING THE INDUSTRY HE WILL FORCE THE CONSUMER BUSINESS BACK TO THE BANKS WHO CHARGE UP TO $39.00 PER CHECK FOR USING THERE OVERDRAFT PRIVILEDGES, WHICH IS THE SAME AS A LOAN- THEY ARE COVERING MONEY THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT HAVE.  THE CONSUMERS HAVE FIGURED OUT THAT A PAYDAY LOAN IS FAR LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THESE OTHER TYPES OF OPTIONS THEY WANT TO FORCE UPON YOU, THE AG WILL ALSO TELL YOU TO GET A LOAN FROM THE BANK OR USE YOUR CREDIT CARD, ALOT OF THE PAYDAY CUSTOMERS HAVE ALREADY BEEN TOLD NO BY THE BANK FOR A SMALL LOAN, AND DON'T QUALIFY OR ARE ALREADY IN A BIND BECAUSE OF CREDIT CARDS... SHUTTING DOWN THIS REGULATED, STATE MONITORED, LENDING WILL ALSO FORCE PEOPLE TO USE INTERNET PAYDAY LOANS THAT WILL WIPE OUT YOUR ACCOUNTS AND NO ONE CAN HELP YOU BECAUSE THEY OPERATE FROM OVERSEAS AND OUR GOVERNMENTS CAN'T TOUCH THEM!!!
SIGN THIS PETITION TO KEEP THESE LEGAL LENDERS IN BUSINESS AND KEEP THIS CHECK-CASHER'S LAW IN PLACE, IF YOU USE IT YOU KNOW IT CAN HELP, IF YOU'VE NEVER USED THEM- YOU MIGHT NEED IT ONE DAY, AND THE ALTERNATIVES YOU CAN BE LEFT WITH, IF IT'S REMOVED, ARE NOT GOOD- AND CONSIDER IT NEXT TIME YOUR GOING TO GET HIT WITH OVERDRAFT CHARGES AT YOUR BANK!!!! THANK YOU

I would like to go on record and formally make a complaint against the recent statements and letters from Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel. I feel as if I need to voice my concerns about the true ramifications of what he is doing here. I personally have been employed in the cash advance industry for more than four years as well as utilized their services at one point in time, so I feel as if I am speaking from true experience not just hearsay and speculation. I never once felt what I was being charged to pay back was too much. I was very glad that there was a place I could go to get the small amount of cash necessary to take care of what I needed. Especially considering the price of overdraft costs the same if not more in some cases than the fees on the loan. You cannot walk into a bank anywhere and expect to borrow such a minimal amount. Where are people expected to turn once you have viciously removed their right? Besides the fact that our customers are to be affected by all this you also need to consider the effect this will have on all the employees in the industry. For example the 156 letters you sent out, IF there were only 5 employees in each store you have left nearly 800 people without a means of supporting their families and paying the bills that we need to pay. You would be adding greatly to the unemployment rate and creating undo stress for all involved. What are we expected to do once you have viciously taken away our employment? So please take into consideration all of this; my opinions and views, and consider my voice just one of the voices of those who are afraid to let you know exactly how they feel about all this. It is directly affecting each of us in a negative manner. Thank you for your time and attention.
