Keep dogs at UFV!

UFV is a dog friendly place, lets not lose this privilege! We bring our doggie friends to work and they keep us grounded, help reduce stress, increase productivity, and bring a dose of humanity into our work lives. Viva la canine university! We know that we also must respect others and ensure that everyone human/canine is comfortable and happy. If we make sure our dogs are leashed, well trained, clean up after them, and respect public spaces we can help keep UFV a place where staff can bring their dogs to work.

(Note that this petition is a UFV employee initiative under taken via their own personal time and resources)
We understand that you are evaluating UFV's current dog friendly campus policy and we would like to add our voices.

Those of us who bring our dogs to work do so because it adds value to our worklives and makes us much more grounded and productive. Dogs bring a touch of the human values of kindness and joy to the environment, and a well trained obedient dog is a joy to us.

We respect others needs for personal space and some folks have allergies so we leash our dogs, clean up after them and our offices and would agree to keep them out of public meeting spaces. We believe that dogs and humans can work together and have done so for thousands of years.

Please don't make us keep our dogs at home alone! Daycare is expensive and as long as our dogs are well behaved we believe they should enjoy the benefits of being together with us - as they should be.

Thank you for considering our petition!
