Keep "Dont ask dont tell"! No open gays in the Army

My husband actually received a email to sign a petition to appeal the "dont ask dont tell policy" the military has in place. I therefore am petitioning to keep and enforce that policy.
What is the next step after this? Change of uniform, change of morales, change of ..... ? Who you are and whatever decision you have made you will have to witness for before "the man", but do not try to come into my Army and want equal treatment as a gay. I am sure that doing so will end in turmoil, people will get hurt noone wants that. The Military is no place to be openly gay. There are too many areas where most soldiers will not feel comfortable being around an openly gay person. Too many situations, especially in combat where being openly gay will not help at all.
The Army is no place to be an individual. We are all soldiers, no males, no females, regardless of what our jobs are, no matter our mission WE ARE SOLDIERS. We are not to be 'individuals' while on our job and this is unacceptable.
This country was built under God, one Nation under him. If our founding fathers saw this they would turn in their graves! If we take God out of this country and he will turn his back on us!

I agree that the military is no place to try to be an individual. There are too many conflicting emotions surrounding people of differing sexual orientation and combat is not the place to be dealing with that. Our soldiers need to protect each other, not combating each other. The policy is necessary right now.

Why would ANY gay WANT to "openly" be in the military??? Seems as if they'd be practically (and OPENLY) begging for a buttt-kicking! I could have used other words...besides "kicking" but I'll leave it at that. I agree being openly gay has affected our nation in a negative way. Laws don't need to be changed to condon this behavior or to force me to accept a lifestyle that doesn't have a future in it anyway. By that I mean they can't reproduce and that doesnt help our society as we know every country hates america. If someone wants to be gay be that way just dont try to force it on the rest of us with changing laws etc. These laws and being a Christain based nation has got this country pretty far to try to change what isnt broken would try turn for the worse and I wouldn't fight for a country that accepts open gays in the military.

And my question is, where homosexual{give back original meaning to word gay basterds} soldiers are going to be bunked, because if heterosexual males, cant be bunked along heterosexual woman, i think its obvious. As long as all military instalations wont be 100% "coeducational", homosexual oriented would have to be separate form heterosexual, and that's mean another segregation, buu huu. What about that nonsens about need for their contribution, two wars etc, muslims hate homosexualism, so openly homosexual armed forces, will be object of total rejection, extra fuel for extremists. Good muslims wont talk to US military, they wont let them into their homes, zero contact, great contribution

I agree, if it ain't broke don't fix it... no one want to know what your sexual orientation is when you are in battle, so why push the issue. It is irritating when someone that has a different sexual orientation than you, trys to inform you of theirs, I really don't want to know, nor do I care.... I don't go around proclaiming that I am heterosexual, why do they need to claim that they are homosexual???? What is done behind closed doors should stay behind closed doors.

"God has blessed America with a strong Biblical foundation. The revolutionary strategies of our founding fathers have led to the most successfull nation in the history of the world." If we want to continue our greatness as a nation we need to live up to the standards set for us by our founders. When George Washington encountered a gay soldier, he had him immediatly removed and warned him never to return to the army. Even if you are not a Christian and do not have the Bible tying you down to this principle, you should surely realize that being gay would distract and be an uncomfortable position for any same-gendered soldier. I can relate to what has been written here! I served in from 1985-89 and there is NO REASON to change this policy! While there were many things bubba did I did not agree with this was one of the few. It has been proven that when people that are under great stress the LAST THING they want to have to worry about is someone's personal veiws on something. I fully support this posting!!

While it is true that we cannot, and should not, control what other people think, we should, however, control people's immoral actions. Therefore, the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy of the military is a good one. There is no reason to allow homosexuals to act on their character in the military, as the consequences would be devastating. There would be many distracting individuals keeping the group, as a whole, occupied, and there would be many problems of no discipline. It's already distracting enough that women are now in the military; please don't include open homosexuals as well. Thank you for your support.

Have we learned absolutely NOTHING from history?! Remember Sodom & Gomorra!!!
