PETITION AGAINST PROPOSED ETHANOL PLANT A proposed ethanol plant is being planned in an area with residences in San Pierre (37 acres located on the corner of US421 and 500 S). We are opposed to the ethanol plant because we are concerned about the effects the pollutants will have on our air and water supply. We are also concerned about the increased traffic on this already overly traveled highway. The plant would store large quantities of hazardous flammable materials. But most importantly, we are concerned about the impact the ethanol production will have on our health.

Isn't ethanol production industry? Why is it being proposed in San Pierre instead Hamlet?? Isn't this what the Starke County Master Plan was designed for?

this is not the solution to our need for oil......Just look at our food bills, think what this may do to our Air, water and health of the people who live around them....I want to prevent disasters before we have to figure out a way to undo the harm that they have already done........NO Ethanol Plant in San Pierre...

This is not a good choice for an Ethanol Plant! The chances of destroying our environment, health and welfare of our community is way too great and NO ONE from the other side can guarantee it is safe. What about our River,our ponds,our source of water??? THey say they will take care of our wells....what a laugh, we might all be dead by then.....I live here because I care about our environment, wildlife and the safety of our lives and that of our children....Lets put an end to Greed and distruction and say NO ETHANOL PLANT in San Pierre In..........Who can afford EThanol and new cars that burn it......definately not the working poor of this country..
